Would you say Brownells has lost a customer?
Packaging-15 Peanuts Padded envelope Ziplock |

Quoted: Wait, not a full upper? Just a receiver? A bag is fine. WTF do you want it shipped in? I'd be interested in seeing the damage. View Quote I think the bag is lined in bubble wrap as well...at least appears to be. ETA: I’m tagging this old school Jerry Springer drama...must see damage pics. |
|
View Quote The bag appears to be in perfect condition. It was probably damaged before it even left Colt. Exchange it for an Aero upper. They ship in a box. |
|
Bottom line is that OP is not satisfied--we're working to make it right.

I don't know, I have possibly owned more Colt shit than many people and I would venture a bet the "scratches" that are on that upper were on it when it left Colt.

i ordered Premium upper. not 39 dollar junk no name upper. from Premium vendor in my opinion. stuff shipped like it came from third world country.
im sure it will be resolved. |

Packing at a lot of places went south after some master salesman talked them into using air pillow poppers that never survive the trip and never keep the contents form moving around. Cheap shipping has given rise to bendable breakable items being shipped in mailing bags with no protection.
On a almost happy note I got an email from Brownells I would be receiving my package today but I guess they forgot they Brownells shipped it. When I checked it is not even at my post office yet. |

Quoted: received a Colt upper, came in a plastic bag. no packing at all. scratched up etc. called, two hours on hold. then when i finally hear a voice it gets disconnected.... View Quote I've seen parts arrive from Colt, fresh out of the box, shipped just like that. |

View Quote Sounds like a Colt problem. If it was a premium upper it would have been bubble wrapped and put in a box before it left Colt. |

No kidding. OP: "my stuff was shipped wrong, and I need answers now!" Brownells: "ok, can you show us pics. We'll get this sorted right away." OP: "REEEREEREEEEE" Brownells: "as we said, we would be happy to help. May we see some pic--" OP: "REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" |

Quoted: 311 bucks worth of stuff shipped in a bag. maybe damage is ok to some of you guys. i dont care if its a handling mark caused by not so great shipping method. View Quote You sure are stalling on providing pics of the damage. You can post on the internet at work, but can't post a pic? |
|
OP better never order from Arms Unlimited. I got a $3,000 gun shipped in a plastic bag
|
|
I ordered a stripped colt upper receiver from them years ago.
The upper arrived with massive blemishes in the finish - like 1000X times worse than any PSA "blem". Called customer service and they said - "that is how we get them from colt" - returned it for a refund. |
|
Larry Potterfield would never do this to a customer's package.

They bought a website and now have to cut costs to stay open.

Are you sure it is not standard Colt factory applied dings and scratches?

When Pete took over Brownell’s, the company went down. That whole third generational syndrome.

Maybe not the Brownells from 2 years ago, but pretty much the same as last year. All in all they pretty much have the worse fucking shipping of any company I purchase anything from. I wanted to support them then, and still tried one more time this year. And for my effort I got 2 weeks shipping on a fucking padded envelope.
At this point, if I can get supplies from anywhere else, I will - just to avoid their shipping. --- Last year I decided to build as couple of AR's. So I joined their Priority Club for $50. Before that their shipping had always been adequate - not impressive, but adequate. For a club that promised 2nd day shipping on most items - I don't think I got a damn order in less than 10 days. Multiple orders got locked up in the computer for a week processing without even getting shipped. So that expired about a month ago - so I decided to pay for shipping this time and it was 2 weeks. I have complained before - that asking $50 for shipping and then not being able to process most of my orders in 7 days (not ship, just fucking process). was ridiculous. This last order was the last fucking straw. |

Quoted: i did buy more then one item , look at picture. a 90 dollar charging handle. im far from a millenial. i been in the game since 1987. do the math... i have pic of scratch down to metal ill post later and forward my order to the brownells guy.... im at work, cant do much until later. View Quote But are you a 100% disabled veteran and an LE firearms instructor? |

Well, a good friend of mine had to replace my MagPul Backpacker T/D stock today. (His f*cking dogs ATE the one that he ordered last week from Amazon that arrived today, as it was supposed to. It was an early B-day present for me.) He ordered it from Brownells. Supposedly, it will be here in 4 days. I guess that we get to see how long it takes for it to show up.

So a brownells rep pops in and says they’re basically going to make it right and OP still continues on bitching.
Lmao I love this place. And OP stop replying above quote box. Some people’s kids I swear. |

Fifteen years ago they ok to deal with, but have not purchased anything in the past 8 from them.

Quoted: @BSOG1 Please IM me your order number and email me pics of the damage at [email protected] and I'll see what I can do to make it right. View Quote I don't know, man. Post count and join date look suspicious. |
|
So is there damage or not OP? You started this thread claiming there was damage due to how your upper was packaged yet you have failed repeatedly to provide any evidence of said damage.

Quoted: I was thinking it was shipped in a box and the upper was in a bag, within a box. And i'm like, just shut up OP. Then I read it was in a bag and said, that's real retarded. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: it was shipped in a bag, not a box That is kinda fucked up. Actually, really now that I think about it. Retarded even. I was thinking it was shipped in a box and the upper was in a bag, within a box. And i'm like, just shut up OP. Then I read it was in a bag and said, that's real retarded. Retracted my original statement. New one is in bold. Either there are no scratches, or OP scratches it himself to save face. |

Pro tip here for the millenials and the poors complaining about getting merch shipped in a bag, BUY more than one item seriously my stuff comes in a box. What “game” since 1987? Telling bullshit stories are a game? |
