Holy shit!    I wish I knew about that.  I have a few rifles he could have had for $9,950 each.

I know someone that sold 9 lower receivers, purchased at $85 each for $300 each.  In a manner similar to a gambling addict, he promptly spent the cash, and then some, on more guns and ammo.

so what did you buy

Case of IMI, Fudd Win .30.30, 300AAC Noveske and all the reloading stuff, pencil barrel AR, Pmag holiday special........and the list goes on.

The real question is how many mags, stripped lowers, etc. are you putting back for the next time it happens?

I sold a pair of blem PSA stripped lowers for $750. I was like "eh, I'll put them on armslist and see what happens". The next day, a guy drove like 85mi to come pick them up.

i found two tapco 30 round ar-15 mags while going through some drawers.  i remember buying them for about $6/ea a few years ago.  i put them on gunbroker during the time of the $100 pmags just to see what i'd get for them.  $150 for the pair.  i shipped them to the guy for free.  he was very happy.

Only reason I didn't sell mine is it's my first gun (not just AR).  So it has sentimental value.  Probably could have made a nice pile of cash...

He sold 4 Colt 6920s to an IT type guy in TX, and posted pics of the cash.  Buyer had more money than common sense, but from what OP (seller) was saying, that part of town was full of that type.

He said the guy wanted to buy a rifle, so he threw out a ridiculous price, thinking dude would tell him no, and the guy said "OK, I'll take 4."

Supply and demand.  You couldn't find a bcg earlier this year. I paid $300 for one because I had a build sitting idle and that was the only thing I needed. It was my dream build and I was gonna get the part I wanted to finish it.

I paid about $140 for a Spikes Jolly Roger lower.. About $100 now but I had an upper waiting for it. I did sell a couple $400 PSA blem lowers myself, so not such a big deal. The guy that bought them kept telling me how he was gonna hold and flip them in a couple years so I didnt mind too bad. His GF was pissed however

Dang, I missed out... I only sold a few 5-packs of Pmags, and my best sale was only $71 per magazine.  I turned around and back-ordered another 70 magazines for $10 each.  They arrived about a month later, so I sold enough to make up the difference.  Free mags.

I spent most of the spring buying retail reloading bullets in bulk and reselling them on Gunbroker for nearly twice what I paid.  I finally realized I was wasting a lot of time weighing out bags of 500 bullets, so I just started selling the full cases instead.  Paid for a 7-day anniversary vacation in Hawaii.

$18 a pop for elander mags. I did sell a pmag for $50 though, and others for $30. And then the hoard of ammo I off loaded for 4-5x cost.

I sold an DPMS 308 AR for 2700 with one mag.
Sold 20 round 308 pmags for 45.
Pmags for 40.
USGI mags for 35.
.308 for about .75cpr
A box of 500 .556 for 450
AK 30 round mags for 45
2 crates of 5.45 for over double what I paid for them.

That was the only rifle I sold and it ended up being about half of the magazines I had.   Everyone was very happy to pay as I priced things a bit lower than everyone else was asking.

Bought a few things that were not going to be banned I wanted and put the rest into stock and it's up 15% for the year so it worked out well.   All the prices seemed silly to me.  I will probably replace the magazines sometime early in '14.

Local GS sold a standard ps90 for $3,200. That is just the one I knew about and that was while prices were coming down.

I traded 2,000 rounds of 5.7 for a Scar 17.

He REALLY wanted that ammo I guess.

$1000 for a lifetime NRA membership. I'm still trying to figure out exactly what they did during that whole thing. "good guy with a gun, bad guy with a gun", could he have sounded like a bigger dumbass simpleton? Hes/they're the leader(s) and face of the gun community, and that was the best speech they could come up with?

An acquaintance got into rimfire shooting in January. He would hound me for 22lr only for me to tell him he was SOL too many times.

He had nothing to run in his 10/22 and whatever handgun he had...so he traded a case of SS109 at panic price for 500 rounds of 22lr.

I paid $5.00 for a crush washer.

I had a couple people try to pry some stripped lowers and Wolf ammo from me.
I turned them down.  Bad planning on their part doesn't constitute an emergency on mine.

I sold two ARs. one for 2000 with 2 mags that I had like $800 in, and the other a PSA build I think I had like 700 in for 1500. Sold Pmags for $50 a piece, and sold some ammo for like 1.25/cpr. I wasn't really stocked up enough to really make out like a bandit but I sure as heck got what I could while the getting was good.
