I'm getting mine from Majestic Knights kennels (no longer an ISSD kennel).  Both the breeding dogs are in good health and classified as "therapy"  dogs.  Another guy on this site's dog is from the same mating pair and he really likes how it turned out.

A couple more pics of my boy:

Here he is hamming it up when he was just a little guy:

Here he is taking his first bath:

Here he is playing with the terrier last month:

His bowling ball is still his favorite toy and although he has dug some grooves into it with his teeth, he still can't pick it up despite his best efforts.

I also like Akbash and Shar Planinetz breeds as working dogs

He is aware of all that stuff. We have talked about it quite a bit. He is getting his from the same breeder I got mine. I have known her for over three years and she still takes an active interest in every pup she ever bred. In fact, the person who wrote that page you referenced is a good friend of hers.  The breed was a great idea, but the breed founder has her issues and conflicts with people.

For those who aren't familiar with them, Shiloh Shepherds could be called a perfect German Shepherd -- times two. Here is a picture of mine. He was about 110 pounds at eight months. He is currently 165 pounds at 3 and half years. Fabulous, well-tempered, easily manageable dogs, and intelligent like you wouldn't believe. Mine required NO training. He picks up on lots of things up the first time I try to teach him.

We have an Australian Shepherd now. He's a pretty good dog: REAL protective of the better half.
