Yes, but not necessarily because of the population density. She's never been to Disney World. Eastern Ky has more than it should on Hwy 26 near Corbin and Williamsburg. No clue why.

So I randomly get these shivers bad. Almost to the point you could call it a twitch.  Regardless of the temperature outside or where I am.  It can happen everywhere at home, in my car, work, whatever. I can always feel it coming on and usually starts in my spine. Any insight to that?

Interesting thread, thanks for coming back to answer questions.

Has your wife ever seen or known of a "ghost" that was just someone having an out of body experience or "astral projection?" In other words, someone that has left their body, but wasn't quite dead?

I'm curious because of an experience a coworker once shared with me.

I believe the OP had a cousin/family member die recently.  I seem to recall OP stating that OP's wife observed the decedent (cousin) yelling in her (decedent's) father's face during services.  Perhaps I misunderstood.

Corrrect. I've found the post on page 10 of this thread

"I'm good and drunk, so forgive me if this is hard to follow...

My cousin was murdered by her shitbag boyfriend on the 18th. The funeral was Wednesday. I missed the funeral because my wife had just had shoulder surgery and it's pretty rough on her riding in the car for extended periods. But, my cousin was buried in our family cemetery which is only about an hour and  a half away (the funeral itself was over a 3 hour drive from here) So, we decided to attend the gravesite ceremony instead.

The county where I'm from (and the location of the cemetery) is haunted as fuck, specifically a section of highway in particular. If you're familiar with southeastern Ky, it's hwy 26 between Corbin and Williamsburg. As soon as I turned onto 26, she was overwhelmed by dead people. It was insane watching her trying to focus on them all. She saw some things that I knew about, but had never told her. Even though I believe my wife about these things, it still messes with my head when she gets things so correct. I never told her where my uncle was buried, but she pointed out his resting place as we passed it. Creepy. She also saw something in a house that I knew to be haunted, but yet again, had neglected to tell her. Creepy again. The worst part was the cemetery. I cant see these dead people, and only on my best of days can I even detect their presence. She said they bombarded her before I had even stopped the car.

Sadly, my cousin hasn't figured out what happened yet. She was appearing and disappearing all day long, screaming into her father's face. He had no clue she was there. My wife said it was one of the worst things she's ever seen."

This is one of the most interesting threads I've read in a while.

OP may have answered this, but can ghosts manipulate physical objects? Put energy into light emitting objects? I ask for a specific reason. Almost 4 years ago my father passed away very suddenly at 64 years old. From the point I got the phone call that he had collapsed and paramedics were working on him, to when I was sitting by his dead body in the ER, only 45 minutes had elapsed. Long story short, the next morning I awoke in my bed, and opened my eyes. The reality of my dad's passing rushing back into my thoughts. I was laying on my side facing my night stand, on which lay my everyday carry items, including a small flashlight. My eyes had been open for maybe 10 seconds when my flashlight turned on for about 3 seconds, then shut off. I picked it up, clicked the button, and the flashlight was dead. Tried clicking it several times...nothing. When my wife awoke, I told her about it. We both got up, and got ready to go over to my sister's house where all of the immediate family was gathering. At my sister's, we were all talking and mourning together. My sister was talking about when she woke that morning, while her eyes were closed, she saw a bright light through her eyelids. As soon as she opened her eyes, the light disappeared. I audibly gasped and told my family of my experience with the flashlight. To add to the story, we had one more light experience. My mother did not stay in her and my father's house from the day he passed until about 3 months later. About 2 days after his death, my mom got a call from the neighbors saying that the dome light in my father's truck was on. My brother in law went over there, unlocked the truck door, opened it, shut it, and the light went out. The door was totally shut when he opened it. It never happened again. Since then, I've always wondered if that was my father trying to communicate with us.

Wife is still busy, so I can't get to most of the recent questions yet. But I can shed a little light (pun intended) on your post.

They can manipulate things if they can muster enough energy. The light thing though is odd. Maybe he thought that would get you guys attention better than anything else?

Years ago my brother bought an old car. He answered an ad in the auto trader, but when he went to see the car, the current owner told him about his uncle who bought it new and recently died. Never gave it a second thought for a long time. But he had it parked in my yard for a while (where he lived he couldn't have but a set amount of vehicles) One evening I went outside and the dome light was on. Both doors were shut completely, and had been for several days. They were both locked as well. I dug out the keys and opened the door and shut it. Light still on. The knob on the dash was turned all the way to the left (which in old GM cars turned on the dome light) I had to manually click it off. Not sure what that was about, but your post reminded me of it.

Thank you for the reply. My experience happened only in the days immediately after his death. Nothing like that had happened again that I've noticed. The exception being the one time, about a year ago, at work oddly enough, I smelled my father for several minutes. Could have been coincidence. He worked out in his shop, usually on cars, every day. So he tended to smell like oil, grease, etc. So I probably was just smelling something similar, although I've never noticed that odor before or since at my job.

That would Spectraphilla Being aroused by ghosts or spirits.

Which lets add my poor taste joke, do necrophiliacs consider someone buried deeper than 6 feet playing hard to get?

No questions, plenty of various experiences.  Many I just like to ask other people if the saw or felt and compare notes.  Sometimes I don't tell people and sometimes they don't tell me. Not to always pleasant surprises, hoping maybe they won't know on both sides.

Once ask a couple that were friends of mine and visiting at work,  if they saw the same ghost is in this old half abandoned theater I was working in. We were up in the closed to the public upper balcony section looking at the 1920's  architecture  in the closed off balcony.  I ask "are you seeing him?". She being a wardrobe costumer proceeds to say "you mean then starts citing/naming the style of cap & the shirt type and cut they had on, basically confirming in details the same thing. Her husband said "Yes what see said" and we quickly tried to chase him  to see where he went. Will went down the center hallway(short route to cut off the longer side passage and stairs the guy was standing just in the entrance of watching the stage)  I went left to where he was and tried to run it toward him and lost it in closed in stairwell.   Afterwards   you could see only my foot prints and hand prints in the part not  disturb by ether end easily, from where the dust and dirt caused me to slip (hand prints and feet prints) and I was still going forward  too fast and recovered (not falling) to meet Will in the upper lobby  where there was someone else who didn't see anything.  In that dust you could tell nothing had been through than  other me in a long while.

Was one of several distinct different ghosts in that theater, other theaters varies in town with age.  Several old churches have been turned into theaters and/or night clubs and each has their own unique spirits. Some there for the shows, others upset that their church is defiled by those theater (often referencing the LGBTQ+) people and/or that  people drink alcohol in the church and other club recreation activities upset them.  One bar manger didn't believe and ghosts and made statements dismissing them while we respected them, they made him their biotch for keys disappearing and reappearing, on one of his "there are no such things as ghost" his lap top bag strap breaks right after he says that standing still.

Other churches I did install work in for lighting and sound, and I would often ask once I got one of the care takers away is there anyone I should know about or expect while working alone? Since you often have to be destructive before installing and repairing the installation back, which usually brought the guardian spirits out that had sense of uneasiness about the area and towards you....

Houses far too much to type and don't want to hijack your thread more.....

Ghosts don't catch bullets- source two people that fired at one. Both swear they shot first and saw the other's muzzle flash from their's. The far wall  had the hits on the wall but were apart slightly but crossed for where they had seen it and to where they were standing when they fired. Old abandoned building that had some issues with unsavory people entering illegally ,so being armed for safety and as visual deterrent  and mistaking  the ghost as someone who they thought was armed and came towards them quickly they fired . That lining up trajectory wasn't found until later examining and at the time the  thinking was Co2, Methane,  gas leak, something else for fumes.... Both were sober, so no substances at play in their systems.  Space had a lot of unexplained activity unknown at the time.

But if you want to be sure and want a "Spirit/Ghost/paranormal bullet. You need a Reloader to make them special.  Pull the  metal bullet from the case , Reload it with a special projectile.  Make a Bullet projectile from Rose Wood, soak it in holy water, let it dry out,  trim back to spec, make it a hollow point, now  put some silver in there,  add some White Sage and now some salt in the cavity and seal with wax. Optional religious symbol or words carved into wood profile and/or wax seal of the internals.  That should cover most supernatural things.

Here's a question for you/her. Do people often hang around at/after their own funerals?

I'll tell the story of why I asked this. I've posted it before in another paranormal/ghost type thread.  It will be kind of long, so anyone not wanting to read it can just stop here and wait for an answer.

My father died after a long fight with cancer (1984) He had been in and out of the hospital many times over a ten year period and the last time seemed like just another of those as it had become somewhat routine. He was admitted in the afternoon one day and died the next morning. He didn't seem particularly ill, so everyone assumed this would be like all the other times and he would be in for a few days and be sent home again, so we stayed until visiting hours ended that night, said our good nights and we would see him tomorrow after school or work. My mother was the only one there when he passed. She had went early the next morning and got there just as they were moving him to the ICU where he died a short time later.

Most of his side of the family, including his mother, still lived in Lexington KY. My mother called them and told them he wasn't doing well and they should probably come up as soon as possible. Doubtful they were even on the road yet when he passed.

Fast forward about a week. The family, his sister her husband and three children and my fathers mother, who lived with them, are staying at our house. The day of the viewing nothing strange happened. The next day, the day of the funeral, is a nice warm sunny day in April. Afterward, we all go back to our house where everyone sits and talks a while. Then it's time to say our goodbyes as they had a bit of a drive back to Lexington. Everyone is at the side door and talking and hugging some more as they go out the door to the driveway.

Just as his mother is about to go out the door, there is a flash of light on the ceiling just behind everyone accompanied by a soft POOF sound. It sounded a bit like the sound made by the flash trays used by photographers in western movies. There was no smoke or smell. Just the flash and poof sound. Everyone was a bit startled and talked about what it could have been for a minute, but they needed to go, so it wasn't talked about for long.

Our long time next door neighbors were.close friends with my parents. They had two sons that were in the military and had went to visit one of them in North Carolina, leaving the day my father was going to go in to the hospital for what turned out to be the last time. They had returned home several hours after my fathers funeral, and shortly after everyone had left our house. Being the days before cell phones, they had no idea that he had died.

The telephone rings and my mother answers it. It's the neighbors wife. She tells my mother they just got home and asked how long Ralph (my father) had been out of the hospital. My mother said she was sorry to tell her that he had died and in fact today had been his funeral. The neighbor reacted with shock and asked how that could be, "We just saw him." Now it was my mothers turn to react with surprise. "When did you see him?"

"Just now. We were taking our luggage out of the car when he walked off the front porch toward the road. We figured he was going to the mailbox. He was wearing his brown suit."

My father had a brown suit that he only wore to funerals. He was buried in it.

It was a sunny warm day. All the windows and doors were open. No one had come to or left the house after the family had departed. I was sitting in a recliner with a direct view of the front porch and sidewalk leading to the street where the mailbox was. We used the side door where the driveway was to enter or leave. No one had been on the front porch for days, and definitely not in the hour or so between when family had left and the neighbors called.

^^what he said.

She wasn't hanging around her funeral, per se, but hanging around her father. She had been murdered, everyone knew who did it, and she's afraid her father will throw his life away to get the guy. As far as I know, she's still attached to him.

But, yeah, some do hang around their graves. No clue why.

Yeah, I saw that one. Partially why I asked. In that case the person was murdered and concerned a loved one would ruin their life avenging them.

In my fathers case, he had been fighting cancer for a decade. According to my mother, his last words were "This is it. It's over."

Does your wife know if they must always want to show themselves to be seen? When not repeating something like walking down hallway of something they always did that left  imprint.  I ask because I've caught glimpse of person who owned a neighbors house (fit rough description height, weight and color of skin) sitting in old barber's chair he had on his front port. Since it wasn't my house and it was from distance I wonder if he meant to be seen or was it just  out of the corner of the eye and more subconscious detection that I would have first seen him for having my own sensitivity.

The other, is  a long lost the source, but read a quasi-white paper that talked about how the old steel and metal in buildings could hold energy in it. Since emotional events like murders, deaths, brutal crimes, passionate events  release larges amounts of neurons firing which is energy(energy may change but is eternal), and that such imprinted in to the steel like how audio is recorded on tape or information on hard drive. It went into great detail about how it could be a possible ""cause"".  I'm sorry mutilating it to death but basically the energy of the people or event gets recorded into the iron like magnetic field  that allows it to be replayed, re-experienced, re-felt or words to that effect. That paper/post never gave an answer but was a theory based off of principles of magnetic fields and recordings with magnetic energy for making polarity changes that can then be read as differences or as data.  Which that could be interpreted and received by people later.   Ether that might make some sense to her, or it will be utter confusion and nonsense, but has stuck with for years and wondered about imprints being recordings which maybe the dead can use for energy to...... I guess I'm asking is this possible from what your wife knows?

Hopefully it hasn't been addressed, but has your wife seen the Netflix series "Surviving Death", and if so, what did she think of it?

I loved the first and last episodes (NDE's & reincarnation, respectively) but the middle ones weren't that good, especially the ones on mediums.  Much of those two episode were not that believable.

Open invite to anything.

Not that I know of. You'd need a cleansing or a warding spell.

Me too.

As a slight hijack, I was present and witness to a traumatic event with many, many deaths.  I saw (and heard) a multitude of flying figures circling overhead like hawks, snatching up the souls as the people died.

At no other time in my life have a seen anything similar. I am not a sensitive to the best of my knowledge.  Or maybe I am?

First thing I thought of was the legend of Valkyries.

1.  As others have written above, my mother had a super vivid dream where my sister came to visit her.  She pleaded with my mom to know she was OK and to stop grieving so hard.  She had died after a terrible struggle with leukemia at 22.

2.  My friends and I were touring a rental home we were looking at.  In the final bed room I got a real weird feeling.  Out of nowhere I asked the owner "did anyone ever die in this house"?  His eyes got HUGE.  He said "yes" and explained it was a young guy our age (mid 20s) that had OD'd on meth.  Wanna guess what room?  We ended up renting the place and it was my room (LOL my roommates were freaked by the incident and I got volunteered ).  First night as I was going to bed drunker than a skunk I said "hey man, I'm real sorry about what happened to you and I hope you're OK with me in your old room".  No further "feelings".

Yes, but extremely rare. Why? Because whatever may be showing up will look like (to 99% of those who would see it) mist, haze, orbs, etc, and will either be edited out or reshot.

More common in home video, since no one edits out "imperfections" and the personal nature of most home videos.

Not being a dick.  Has she ever considered getting a CT and and MRI...just to rule out more plausible explanations.

Imagine explaining that one to your insurance company for pre-approval.

I have mentioned earlier in this thread my wife has a very similar "gift", in that she is very in tune with the paranormal. I won't get too into why I believe her, but as a very skeptic person, she has me convinced that it is true.

Last night we were backing out of my parents driveway when she said "oh shit!" In that same time she always uses in these encounters, and said she seen a man walking through their house in the living room.  She said she doesn't know what it it was, but it was definitely something that wasn't supposed to be there (in other words, not just a wandering soul, but something that gave her a very uneasy feeling that she was not comfortable with at all).

I asked how she knew and she just said after all of her experiences and encounters, she can just sense when something is at peace, and supposed to be there, like souls at a cemetery, and when something is not supposed to be there, like something that is attached to someone, or brought in from another person.

She generally keeps these to herself, but she was very unnerved by this one. It freaks me out a bit, because even as a kid, I never liked being in that house alone and never felt "alone" per say.

We were just leaving to pickup food and come right back, and she insisted that whatever I do, do not think about it when we get back, and with every bit of energy I can emit from my brain, to tell it is not welcome there and cannot leave with us when we go home.

I'm just curious to know what your wife may think of this, and if she has any thoughts as to how I need to prepare myself mentally at their home, compared to what my wife thinks.
