I like lazy big dogs. I like lazy or energetic small dogs. I do not like energetic big dogs. Maybe when my kids are gone and I have more time on my hands.

YMMV |

Don’t need one, I have one next door that I borrow for free every day, someone else pays to feed it and sweep up the hair.
My GSMD loves him to death, tho....... Attached File |

Quoted: Too lazy? Too poor? Can’t control it? Already feeding a German shepherd human? Don’t operate operationally? Cat herder? View Quote Because they are a working dog.....can it's not fair for me to get one if I don't have the time to work with it properly. (This is the problem with all of the idiots that buy GSD's and then keep them locked up inside all day long) |

Had GSDs in the past (3), then had a small team of Malamutes (4). All good dogs for what they were bread for. Now on my 2nd Golden Retriever, best dog personality ever...

A vast majority of the GSD's I've encountered are watered down, low drive, poor representations of the breed. A correct, well bred German Shepherd Dog is both difficult to find AND too much for many people to manage.
I believe most "Pet" owners are better served with a different breed. |

Our GSD Georgie lived to a old age. Gone now. We have adopted three puppies that were listed as GSD. Well, we’re batting .000. None are GSD. But love them dearly nonetheless.
Maybe the next one! Wife will not hear of going to a breeder. So, pot luck. |

Because I have a miniature Schnauzamutt. They're smart, have the best senses ever. This dog has alerted to a flea fart, in Kansas. Has an irresistible attractant for women, can cause them to seek her out from blocks away. Attached File |

Have one. Other than being an emotional basket case when you’re getting ready to leave anywhere mine is an amazing dog. Next dog will also be a GSD.

The worst dogs are still better than the best people.
Lab/Pit mix - best dog (wish I could clone her) Pyrenese - Tied for worst dog GSD/Shar Pei - Tied for worst dog |

I had a German Shepherd for a couple of weeks last year and it was a great dog. Unfortunately, when we brought it to the vet, they told us she was a husky.

Hips, elbows, diabetes, cataracts, bloat, epilepsy, hemophilia ........ I prefer breeds not totally crumped by the breeders.

Don’t want one.
Health issues, temperament issues, constant shedding, and a pain in the butt to find a decent breeder. What I have now: Doberman, Borzoi, Pug, and an Anatolian Shepherd. What I’m getting next: Boerboel |

Because I choose to do cool things in life. Those things do not center around making sure Wolfie gets his four hours a day exercise to prevent him from destroying my shit out of boredom, or escaping the yard. I already have a full time job, I don't need to spend everyday to entertain a working breed.
