Backups are the AK with Ultimak furniture and the S&W M&P 9mm.

All carried ammo will already be in stripper clips, or in mags, and in bandoliers.

Since, in a zombie apocalypse, the NFA wouldn't matter I would opt for:

FN P90 with a supressor
FN 5.7 with a supressor
Benelli M4 SBS

Let's face it, against zombies (Max Brooks style), a souped up .22 with a fifty round magazine is just about the perfect weapon, especially supressed.
