Beretta cx4 storm in 45acp for $250.
Purchased from a work friend last year. He wasnt a big gun guy, he didnt shoot it much and he decided from a few times shooting other pistols he didnt like the double action 1st shot and wanted to switch over to a SA striker fired pistol. |

Cobray Mac10 for $100. It was fun but too many folks knew about it. Sold it for $150 to a guy who made it vanish.

I snagged a Howa 1500 in Bell and Carlson stock, unfired for $300.00. Guy I work with got it for Christmas and really wanted 6.5 Creed. Whoever bought it got a 6mm Creed instead. He absolutely did not want it. It shoots great and my son is slaying deer with it.

Probably the best deal I got was an unfired gen3 g17 with light and a gen 2 OD green sub2000 with a mag though it in a custom RIDGID power tools case and a bunch of aftermarket 33 round mags for $650 right before shit hit the fan with Covid.
Was a decent deal at the time and a great deal a few months later. |

During the heyday of facebook gun sales groups, 2013 or so I got a pre 89 Yugo ak, American arms imported (came in prior to Mitchell’s, very few out there and very little info available). $650 out of some guys trunk, with a few hundred rounds and accessories. Sold it to a member here before I moved back to NY.

Two come to mind...
1) Once bought a 98% Remington Rand 12/44 1911A1 for the princely sum of $50. Actually, the seller wanted $50. I just couldn't screw him that hard. I handed him two $100 bills and called it good. 2) Gander Mountain retards had a VERY nice S&W 13, 3" bull barrel. $110.00 |

All my deals were new guns.
I recently bought a stainless .22 Single-Six Bisley model for $425 during a sale at Grab-a-Gun, which was almost $200 less than what I paid for a .22 Single-Six Convertible a decade earlier. I was at Cabela's a few years ago and they had Henry AR-7's marked down to $180. I had a $100 Cabela's gift certificate, so I got that little sucker for eighty bucks. I also took advantage of a Cabela's sale to get a S&W M&P9 in black/tan, hard case, holster, three mags, mag carrier, and MagLula for $399. For used guns, I did NOT get a deal when I paid almost $600 for a little Interarms .22 Walther TPH. With one 6-round mag. I managed to find another spare 6-round mag for... $100. Ounce for ounce, the most expensive |

I never get good deals. Best I know of is a guy I used to work with got a larue factory rifle and a acog with rmr on top for like 1.5k, Guy was going thru a divorce.

Worked many years part time at a local shop mainly for fun and used gun deals. The standout deals that immediately come to mind:
1)$800 Benelli M4 w/an Eagle case, Vickers sling, and a tlr3. 2)$320 S&W 28-2 4"bbl that previous owner had hard chromed. 3)$700 for a S&W pre-M18 and a '69 Colt 1911A1. New gun: I snapped up a CZ Shadow 2 for $479. It was on a big vendors table for $499 when they first came out. After making a point to ask the salesman if the price was correct, he said it should have been $479.... |
|
S&W 627 for a case of 1,000 rounds of factory 9mm ammo.
I bought cheap, like $179 or $189. Nice gun but sold it for $1,000 |

I belong to a gun club with 600+members. As with many clubs the active type is way lower but still .
Lots of gun guys will buy a gun and then after some time want to sell it to finance some other "toy". There is a sweet spot where I am paying them more for their used gun than they could get at any gun shop but still way cheaper than I could find that gun to buy at most any gun shop. Also if I am remembered as the guy who paid a reasonable price instead of the guy who beat him down the last 10 or 20 bucks I have a beter chance on the next gun deal. Yeah , I know how the gun store bis works and don't find fault with them but if I can get my offer in before the gun store guy both myself and my gun club buddy do better. This is also why whenever I go to the club I have some "mad money" tucked in my wallet for. The guy with the cash sometimes gets the deal. |

$600 for a Richard Heinie 1911, actually done by him.
Attached File It's an AMT, of which there can't be many Heinie worked on, plus it's a first production year AMT (1977) and it came with 8 AMT factory magazines. |

I traded a 10/22 BX25 mag for a Iver Johnson 32 revolver. Still don’t know who got the better end of the deal. Guy didn’t want it cause he couldn’t find 32S&W. Now he has an extra mag and I cannot find 32S&W.

A few years ago I posted a sell/trade ad for a palmetto kit/anderson lower build. I had barely over $400 in the rifle. A guy offered me a Beretta 92fs inox, the early model with all stainless controls. I jumped on the deal. They currently sell on gunbroker for $1000+

Quoted: good buddy of mine sold me his Mint maybe 50 rounds through Ruger P90DC for $200 View Quote In before the "Gun guys" that poke fun at the Ruger pistols and call them "bricks". I have 2 P90DC's, both Magna-ported and re-worked by Ruger for "rough trigger", that are fun to shoot and minute of beer can @50' accurate. ETA: bought them years ago, probably about $250 each. |

Quoted: Both revolvers. First: S&W 6 shot 686 with Pachmayr grips, cleaning kit, 50 rounds of ammo and case for 150.00. Friend of mine came home and his wife was fucking around with it, pointed it at him and said "FREEZE SUCKA!!" and he said "OK this is not safe" had no choice but to get rid of it. Second: S&W 29 in Nickel. PRISTINE condition. Came with original and Hogue wood grips. Bought it in 94 for $300.00 Sales guy said the owner just bought it, took it to the range and said it was too much gun for him. Probably had only 50 rounds through it and I KNOW I only put 50 rounds through it. I have had friends offer me $1,000.00 for it. View Quote Really? Maybe get rid of her and keep the gun? Or if she was just being carelessly stupid, a bit of education may have been in order. |
