After seeing the clearer still photos, it's pretty clear to me it was only a 9mm. No gaping hole in the front like a .45.
Poor ambassador though. Guy was just doing his job at an art gallery of all places. |

Looks like a Canik TP-9 in 9mm Para. Remember our idiotic "sporting purposes" requirement with regards to importation, the US-required adjustable rear-sight on the Century Arms-imported TP-9 wouldn't apply to local Turkish-use, hence the fixed rear-sight on the assassin's weapon.
