Another shorty for the shorty thread, 16" total, bbl is around 12.5" if I remember correctly.

17.16 inch Just like the Belgian paratroopers used
but I think that was a special request for the contract and 21" & 18" were the factory barrel lengths but its been a few years so I could be off |

Unless you will actually be jumping out of a plane or kicking doors, 18" is the minimum. That said, 21" paras look kick ass.

18 inch. Just as handy as a 16 inch. Can come real close balistically to the 21 inch with the newest powdwers. Not near the muzzle blast in 7.62 for just 2 inch added length.
Any non historical FAL Iv'e ordered has an 18 inch barrel. Except the first SA58 I ordered during the ban with the intergal muzzle brake. I had it cut to 18 inches to match my two SA 58 carbines. I just bought another early SA58 with the integral brake for 900 bucks. Its getting cut to 18 inches also. I do want a 11 or 13 inch SBR. If I use it for home defense and miss. I fiqure it will make them deaf and give them a concussion and diaper rash all at once.
