Thanks - I found a pushrod and rocker arm kit for the 351C for $82.00 at jcwhitney.com.  I don't THINK my mechanic is trying to rip me, so maybe I misunderstood what exactly the problem is.  Or, he really is ripping me off - in which case I'll run him over with the Mach I as soon as he finishes it. [:D]

I'm just bummed about it, because this engine is going to end up costing a LOT - and I told the guy going into it that if it was going to cost a lot, I'd rather just sell the car (at a small loss) instead of putting WAY more money into restoring it than I originally wanted to. Now, all the extra money I'm putting into the engine is going to have to come out of the interior, body or paint jobs.

I also cracked a tooth today!  I managed to get into my dentist and he told me it's going to require a crown (which I'm sure won't be cheap either).

What fun Christmas presents!  Unexpected repairs to an engine, and unexpected dental work.  Oh well - at least we got a really nice tree! [;)]

I got laid off so mine is cheap. Going Skiing with my Bro and his family. Should be a lot of fun! Good to see them. That's it for me this year!

Hopefully the job situation will rememdy itself before I spend all of my savings on bills[:D] Then I might go after a nice tactical shotgun.
