SIG550...

Honestly..

AR-15, M1, or M1A just dont compare.

Are they similar to HK MP5/G3 style sights? If so, I like those as well. I think I like them more than the A1 style sights for the AR.

Those sights look REALLY sweet, but the real question is how accurate can you be with those sights at ranges of between 0-600 yards? Relatively quick precision accuracy is where the Garand iron sights excel over other rifle sights IMO. The Garand sights allow for incredible precision as far as iron sights go, due in part to the really long sight radius. As far as combat sights go, those SIG 550 sights you have there are far superior to most anything I've seen on a modern military rifle. But I don't think you can get the precision from those sights that a Garand offers.

M1 Garand Hands Down. Beer cans at 100 yards no problem.

OK that is cool as shit. Can you install those on an ar15 or are they proprietary?

they are proprietary, but I believe SiG sells a version for Picatiny

notice the 300+ sight has a diopter screw on.. remove it and you get a much larger aperture, similar to A2 sights.

Those do look cool and versital. But can they shoot fast?

I like A2 sights and even though I carried an M14 I can't for the life of me remember the sight picture... And I even shouldered at the fun shop not too long ago...

How accurate ?... They are much more accurate than AR or garand sights... Guaranteed... I know, I have all those guns...

Where I do agree is that the AR and garand sights can be faster for close range..but this is it

At 300m, prone, supported, with these sights, a good shooter won't get out of 15cm group

Express(not the company) sights are pretty damn fast. Wouldn't wanna shoot a rifle match with one though.

The express sights are better than one might expect.  I have seen my brother use the shallow vee with small brass bead to shoot ~1MOA 10 shot benched groups with a Ruger No. 1 Tropical Rifle in .416 Rigby.

Gew 98 with Lange sights marked 400-2000 meters.  I would love to find a 2000 meter range and see what I would hit lobbing a few rounds out there.

In reality, I would go with the M16A2 followed by the Garand.

My favorites are peep and buckhorn types.  Not a huge fan of the robust military ones, but I like the fine sights on the original 1903.

A1 sights with an A2 aperture

I'm going with this. I like having the large aperture for low light shooting. Behind that the regular A2 system isn't too bad either.

The M1/M14 sights are the best, simply because they sit so low.

The A2 style sights are on easily one of the best combat rifles ever conceived, and are quite accurate with minimal training.

I would vote, A2, because of the weapon they're attached to.

Without getting fancy, M1 Garand and the standard A2 sights are pretty useful and precise

Winchester Model 52D with Redfield Olympic front globe sight, and Redfield International rear sight. Blow me,too.

Anschutz Match 64 with Anschutz olympic rear aperture and front globe.

Both of ya blow me.
