Most people are sheep that is the problem, and I think next time the Gov will not ask or put it to a vote we can affect, not like the 2 houses actually represent us anymore anyway.  REAL ID Act ring any bells?  If it does not look it up it passed 100-0 most sensible people when they learn what is is oppose it strongly, this is not an isolated incident.  Also the liberties I and possibly a >>few<< here would actually fight for, most who had those liberties would line up to fight us and surrender thiers to the estasblishment.  Though I have never killed I can honestly say I would in defense of my beliefs without remorse or hesitation.  I just do not believe for half a second 99% of Americans know what principles and honor are anymore. You honestly think they will give back what they take?  Laughable really, our representation squabbles over whether or not to make it pemanant, and the only ones that oppose it are in any other circumstances the enemy.  Couple that with the fact the enemy only opposes it because it is expedient politicly to do so, if a Dim was Pres this would sail through completely unopposed.  

No, I didn't say I trust them to give it back on their own. They won't have a choice once this war is over. Not if they want to stay in power.

If you reference the interviews with General Downing and General Powell just days after Sept 11th you will find both of them relatively unconcerned with the war. "We know how to do this and we've been preparing for it for a long time"

What both of them were concerned with (in separate interviews) was " the real issue will be can we remain who we are as a country while we do this, can we retain our freedoms"

I hate the influx of illegal immigrants that is destructive to this country.
I hate the crime they bring with them.
I hate that fellow countrymen of mine have 30 of them move into a home next door.
I hate that it is destructive to the education of many of our children.
I hate the fact that it is adversely affecting the healthcare of Americans.
I hate that they are bleeding the system via "entitlement programs".
I hate that it is negatively affecting job prospects and income of Americans.

Other than that, yeah, I am done voting in all likelihood. The Dems and Republicans can both kiss my ass. I have voted in every election since 1980 and for the first time have come to the conclusion that it really doesn't matter. I have no faith anymore in the political system of this country as they have totally betrayed us. It is MO that the whole thing is going to have to collapse and/or that there will be Civil War. There is a BIG difference between deserving something and asking for it. The liberals say we deserve it. Koolaid drinking Republicans say everyone that thinks we asked for it says those people are saying "we deserve it" because they can't get the liberals out of their heads and are also narrow minded. NObody deserves a terrorist attack. You can be ASKING for one, but still don't deserve it. And that's what I was saying. People in OTHER parts of the world, say we deserve what we got because of our foreign policy and the way our corporations take over other countries and their economies. These people can't and don't see a difference between our government and the corporations, even though it may bring more "things" into their lives. That's why a lot of foreigners say they like or love the American public but hate our government.

For the record...I did NOT say we deserved 9/11, nor do we "deserve" another terrorist attack. BUT I do see where our governments policies are asking for one. Just like the kid that pointed the Airsoft at the police officer. He didn't deserve to be shot, but he was asking for it. The kid was stupid and our government is stupid with power, greed and control. And that's why they ask for it.


And with a lot of comments and attitudes here and the way people act in our society, I can see we'll get hit again. The police and the federal government can't do it all. For the MOST part, they are doing an EXCELLENT job. That IS why we haven't had another attack. But it only takes one missed terrorist and it's down the tubes. I just wish more people would get involved and do some posititve things, like what the Minutemen did. And I wish the liberals idiots would understand what we are up against and what's at stake. I don't have a problem with the government wire tapping potential terrorists, but I wish they would do it RIGHT and have a independent judge overseeing their actions, so the liberals don't have any ammunition to use against the Republician majority right now. The Republcians are being stupid and the Democrats are acting like jackasses too. And that's going to give us more terrorist attacks and it will take more of our liberties away.

Look how bad things have gotten in the 4.5 or so years since 9/11/01?

My fear is that we get hit again- and then we fall apart even worse, in less time... And the media's "It's Bush's Fault" mantra would ensure the sheeple vote Democrat- and for a long time, I'm afraid.

That's worse than almost any terrorist attack. Because we, ourselves, are truly our own worst enemy.
