Even if you're broken, bloody, bruised, beaten...Stand up and keep walking. I'm walkin into a gun store first thing tomorrow and then taking whatever the hell I want/buy right out on to their range. I am cherishing the "Aw SHIT I wonder what's gonna follow me home" mentality. Then, I'm going to light a cigar, pour a nice scotch and tell 2011 to go suck it. 
Good on you. This should be a testament to everyone going through tough times and believes life is hopeless. Thank YOU –– I believe you have helped more people with this post than you know. bob eta: If I was 20 years younger I would say "ownage of page 2" :) But I'm not.

Good job occupying a job and not giving up. May this be a lesson for the OWS crowd. It will come together, eventually, if you TRY. |

My apartment is near empty and I'm sleeping now on an air mattress, but FUCK IT, I'm armed, I have scotch, and I have a goddamned job to go to. I didn't once file for unemployment, either. Fuck that. Slow recovery - already budgeting for ammo, range time and my blessed Glenlivet. I'm actually really digging the emptiness of things. If, for whatever reason, I needed to bug out I basically have nothing to hold on to. I'm highly mobile now, and I'm A-ok with that. My own hell. Been through it and lived to tell the tale. Pass the beer nuts. |
