I've been wondering how the Dems were going to get rid of him in prep for the 2024 run. You may have hit on it. The flaw I see is they'd want to get rid of Kamalatoe at the same time. And now that the House is in the hands of the GOP that would put McCarthy in the White House.

maybe they let her finish this term, then make it clear that she's not in their long term plans for 24 and beyond. she might be ok with it. she'll get paid speaking deals and all the glory of being the first female indian american (or black, depends which box needs to be checked) president. she's not all that bright so i could see them pulling it off. who comes in for 24 i have no idea.
