Apologies for the words...  But feel some explanation is needed.  The Knights MRE forearm is old school but I like it.  Stays cool.  Trijicon 1-4x.  Some kind of fancy flashhider that was on it when I bought it.  Same with the BUIS in the rear.  I like the ACE stock.  It balances out the rifle better than a plastic stock.  Grip is also some old thing with storage and has a spare bolt/firing pin/cam pin and little pillow thing of CLP.

me: you preparing to start a war or something
friend: ha ha ha
me: ha ha ha
*dead serious*
friend: i'm prepared to end one.

Prepare yourself for a bunch of IM's from folks wanting to purchase your rail. They go for upwards of $800 these days.

@adavis    Holy shit!  Really?  To paraphrase David Crosby if I had known that I would have treated it better.  Do they not make them anymore or something?  Why are they so popular?  I mean, it works well.  Does what it does.  But it's like 15 years old.  There must be solutions that do the same thing better and for less weight and cheaper.  And don't have $50 dollar rail covers and sling swivels...

The cloners want them, and they are rare as shit. If it were me I would sell it and not think twice for the $$ they bring these days. Especially if you're not super into the clone stuff ( which no offense you're not or you would have known about this.)

@secretwheelman.  Is that what I have?  An "A" filler tube has no ribs on top and bottom?  Is this more collectible or something?

Nope, and KAC management is basically on record saying they will continue to be unavailable.  Hence, they're popular.

Are they popular because they are good?  Or because they are no longer made?  I mean I like mine but with things like monolithic uppers they seem to be a bit of solution in search of a problem these days.

@bjohnson425  No offense taken.    Not only am I not super into the clone stuff but I have no idea what you are talking about!  I might sell it.  I can't imagine it's functionality is exceeded by it's price as a collectible.  I just like it since it groups well with a lightweight barrel and stayed cool no matter how much I shot it.  And I haven't even shot it in a year or so...

@IDK

The "A" filler tubes had no top or bottom picatinny rail, while "B" fillers did.

I had one with a "B" filler and foolishly sold it (probably the dumbest thing I've done ), but it did go to a good home.

I always wanted an "A" to clone MSG Horrigan's recce.

Other guys spelled it out already, but yeah, it's super desirable for clones and KAC collectors as well. You add those two groups together, and all of a sudden an old and discontinued part is worth a shitload of cash. The front sight gas blocks and triple taps from Knight's have been selling for crazy money lately too, and I can't even imagine what an MP5 RAS might go for these days.

My wife's first time behind a rifle.  She loved it.

And she must be a natural, since she was drilling the 300yd steel target 4 for 4.

I am a blessed man.
