Anne Rice's were the best IMO. Interview with the Vampire was a really good movie of the books. Queen of the Damned, yeah, no.

I feel confident in saying Lestat would have torn Bill the Vampire or Eric Northman (From True Blood) apart. He probably could have done for Russel Edgington, for that matter, and he would have done it with style, dressed in the finest modern clothes, and posted i live on Facebook from his iPhone.

Used to watch all the old horror movies as a kid.

But when Salem's Lot came out that movie actually scared the shit out of me.

I hate to admit it, and the movie sucks in every other possible way, but John Carpenter's "Vampires" had the most realistic vampires.

ETA: If you think the the phrase "realistic vampires" sounds weird, you don't know the half of it.

Nosferatu - the old silent film. Still the scariest vampire to date.
As a teen, I enjoyed The Lost Boys.
30 days of Night was an epic comic book. Never bothered to see the film.

Loved Anne Rice's books, especially due to my history obsession.

The movies fucking blow though.  Can't think of a single good vampire movie actually.

Anything with Christopher Lee is good too but, in a classic horror film kinda way.

If you guys like classic horror films there are a lot of them on Turner Classic Movies right now....I love these movies.

30 Days of Night is the only one that was genuinely creepy. The soulless black eyes and that weird vampire language really made them seem like monsters rather than immortal humans.

The Lost Boys, Fright Night for fun.

Pale Blood

Avoid reading about it before watching it since the snippets contain spoilers.  Basically, vampires are very rare.  A vampiric serial killer is making a mess in the US.  An old vampire from Europe comes to meet him since it has been years since he has encountered one of his own kind.  Hijinks ensue

There was also a TV series called Moonlight that was pretty good.  It's a girly-er version of the Forever Knight series.

While not my favorite of all time, Van Helsing has turned out to be a decent show.  I was expecting it to be a little campy like Wynonna Earp, but it's not.

Dracula Untold got bad reviews, but that being said, if I see it on Netflix I am going to watch it.

It is possibly the last actually scary Vampire film I had seen.  Also the most original idea for Vampire tactics on warm bloods.
