It is far from perfect but it's some of the best sci-fi TV ever and some of the best TV of any genre in the past 10+ years. The depictions of life and combat in space are excellent. It rewards paying close attention and many episodes are better on a second or third watching because of details you overlooked the first time. The flip side if that is that people who don't/can't pay attention probably shouldn't bother. It is not a show that spoon feeds everything to the audience. Wes Chatham as Amos is some of the best casting ever and the effort he has put into becoming the character is impressive. It's a shame about Cas Anvar (Alex) |

Wes Chatham has put a ton of work into that character, including research on trauma and consultation with a psychologist. |

Wes Chatums Amos is awesome, and I actually like his depiction better, but the original book Amos was old, fat and bald, which was part of what made him deceptive dangerous. Awesome series. |

Pretty much the most perfect casting ever. By book 7 they’re all old. I don’t recall Amos ever described as fat, but I do think he was bald or shaved head. I agree that TV is the best casting ever. Most of the casting was pretty on point. |

It's based on a series of 9 books. Season 1 is about 2/3rds of book 1 Season 2 ends about 2/3rds through book 2 Season 3 finishes book 2 and 3. Season 4 follows book 4 Books 5 & 6 are the best in the series IMHO. most people consider book 4 the weakest in the series. |

Good series. I just binge watched it about two weeks ago and am watching it a second time. For anyone about to start the series, I highly recommend watching this video below. She was the right choice as an actor, but she needed to train up for the role. |

I certainly wasn't saying she isn't good to look at or a bad actor. She gets a thumbs up on both from me. Just that she should be more fit to make the character more believable. I agree on Alex. He is really painfully bad early on but has gotten better. I hope he is not replaced though - it would change the Rosinante crew dynamic. Most of other cast members are pretty solid - especially Naomi, Amos, Drummer, Avisarala etc... I really liked the relationship between Drummer and Ashford. |
