I like Honeycrisp and Fuji for just plain eating.
But I like using a 50/50 mix of Granny Smith and Honeycrisp for baking because Granny Smith doesn't mush up as much as Honeycrisp when being baked, so a 50/50 mix gives a nice mix of crunchy and not so crunchy apples in the finished bake. |

Don't think I've had a Honeycrisp, but Fuji is best one I've had.

The right Honeycrisp apples are absolutely the best. If you get supermarket honeycrisp a lot of them taste odd, I believe a previous poster said they taste synthetic. You have to get them where they’re grown.

4 people have said granny smith so far so 5 of us like the best apple.

If you can find them, it still is hard to beat a good, crisp, Red Delicious... but that's just it: those are hard to come by. In our supermarkets, Fuji is usually the best - that is, most consistently crisp and flavorful.

Fuji's for the win. Best secret? Put them in your crisper in the fridge. They are unbelievable when cold.

Voted against sucking cock. Sweet Tango may edge out a Honeycrisp.

Honeycrisp is my favorite.
I've been looking for the Cosmic and Evercrisp ones but haven't had any luck so far |

Incorrect. Apples come in many shapes, flavors and textures for a reason. Only a fucking dipshit limits themselves to enjoying one of them.

I use them for canning; applesauce, apple butter and pie filling. Best you can get, well worth the money.

The only downside to honeycrisp that I’ve found is they do bruise really easy. And if they’re small don’t bother buying them.
A good honeycrisp should be jumbo, like a small grapefruit. I buy them often, and love them. Even made a thread about it many moons ago. https://www.ar15.com/forums/General/-ARCHIVED-THREAD-Do-you-like-apples-Have-you-had-a-honeycrisp-/5-2172757/?page=1 Granny Smiths haven’t been the same since I was a child. We get a lot of produce from Mexico around here so that may or may not have anything to do with it. But the grannies just taste bitter and bland to me these days. On a side note every tomato from Mexico, Roma, hot house, whatever has almost no flavor at all. I won’t buy them anymore. And the jalapeño from Mexico may as well be bell pepper. Fortunately there’s plenty of local growers for that stuff. Water melon especially. That shit be so juicy it runs down your arm , then down your leg. Wild card nobody asked for. Them only good mango I’ve ever tasted was in Pakistan. Incredible flavor. Over here is just a gritty shitty orange colored pear. I’d kill for a badass peach, or a flavorful orange, we just don’t have them in west Texas. |

My favorite used to be Honeycrisp, but no more. Evercrisp is my favorite now, sweet like Fuji, crisp like Honeycrisp, and keeps like Goldrush.

Honey crisp are a pain in the ass to grow and aren’t worth what they used to be.
Cosmic will flood the market as soon as the trees in the ground start producing. They are planting the shit out of it in Washington and I’m sure people in other states are chomping at the bit to get it as soon as it’s released. |
