Old school car makers are failing and have vehicles they can’t even sell because of stupid manufacturing choices and sucking off foreign slave labor type workforces. Tesla did get tons of help but they have made good on the government’s investment. It is a crying shame when a Titan pickup is more American than a F150. Much less a Model Y and an Escape (KY and China) If my wallet lets me, my sammich maker will be in a Y in 2 years. |

It's a great drive around town, go to work or road trip car if I want to be charging. I knew what I was getting into when I purchased it. They don't hide or trick you. Plus there are tons of forums dedicated to them where you can learn their quirks before purchasing. if SHTF I have a truck and my wife's little ICE suv. |

They are taking a little under 3% market share now here in the US. In $/Revenue terms you can just about double those numbers. They aren't small anymore, just compare the revenue and profit numbers between them and Ford/GM, and factor in that they are growing 50% per year: Sometime before 2023 ends, Tesla will probably be the highest revenue and profit American automaker. |

And I bet those same manufacturers know there is going to be followup legislation starting a sliding scale of banning older vehicles from the road. Being excited to retool basically everything and unlearn over 100 years of accumulated knowledge for new, not ready for mass market public consumption tech, there has gotta be something on the backend. Like a total removal of ICE powered vehicles from the road by 2040. Imagine having to turnover the ENTIRE automotive fleet in 10 years. Tons of money to be made. What about all those sweet guzzling Broncos tho?...

That's because the body panels on most Saturns were thermoplastic, nothing to corrode, and immune to dents and dings other than paint damage and punctures. They gave up on the plastic on new models a few years before Saturn was shut down. |
