Portman's character won me over with her literally unflinching mag dump down the throat of the mutant alligator, attempted rescue scene, zombie bear scene, and how she pressed on through escalating scary weirdness to reach the lighthouse. She was realistically tough in that movie. |

It does not seem to have dawned on them that mostly men go to see a Terminator movie. Once it's discovered that it's a SJW fest it will tank big time. I suspect that is already the case.
It's like when I went and saw Avengers End Game and that revamped Capt. Marvel bitch showed-up at the beginning there was a audible groan that went up from the the men in the packed theater. Thank goodness she had other things to do and did not have to see her narrow-ass again till almost at the end. |

| I just watched the trailer, and while some of it did seem insanely cringey, some of it seemed pretty good. I guess time will tell. I question if Tim Miller has ever even seen the first two Terminator movies. Sarah has always been super-tough (for about 20 years, "tough chick main characters" was basically her and Ripley). She starts out the first one as a semi-ditzy waitress who gets targeted by a future AI, not because of who she is, but who her son will be. By the end of the movie, she's the one who survives and finishes off the Terminator. The second movie has her as Commando (dysfunctional) Mom, having taught her son guerilla warfare and terrorism. Yes, they may have gay'ed it up for this new installment....but not because Sarah is now some "empowered" woman. She had already been that since the 80's. Non-story. Hope the new movie isn't crap. |
