That solved most of the drive ability problems and really bumped the power over 3500 rpm. |

2019 trd sport. Acceleration sucks and the seat is uncomfortable if your tall. Otherwise fantastic truck. Would have got a tundra
, but really wanted a truck to fit in the garage |

It’s a nice truck. A little sluggish, and poor on gas. Kinda thinking about going to a full size when the lease is up.

I have a 2015. I only put about 10k miles on it a year. If I cared about gas mileage I would not have stt pros on it.

2020 TRD OR here, it’s a good little truck
Don’t understand all the hate |

Ive delt with electrical gremlins in my 2016. The dealership has them sorted for the time being. When it works, it's underpowered and has a frustrating transmission.
It works for a little truck, though. Attached File |

Wanted a manual trans Taco, test drove a few of them, couldn't do it. Just too cramped inside coming from a Frontier. Went with a 4Runner Off Road instead. Way more interior room. Love the 4Runner. Recommend you test drive one. Attached File |

2015 Access Cab 4x4 with 6 speed manual transmission. 4.0 liter engine. Bought new and has been a hoss. Would definitely buy another Attached File

I bought a Nissan Crew Cab Frontier yesterday. Got a helluva deal, IMO.

I wonder why they have such high resale value? Perceived value based on their history. 2011 Sequoia we have is the biggest turd I've had the pleasure of owning aside my wife's 96 Firebird w/ the V6. Hopefully yours is good but there's no secret they've had some problems with the tacos for a few years now. I was leery of one since we'd had the Seq. issues and then I drove one and felt the nose was huge and it sat really weird for me. Could never get comfortable in the thing. I grew up riding in the old Toyota pickup trucks. |

As long as you understand what you are getting into, it’s a good choice
Is an old, dated vehicle, but cheap and reliable I have over 200k on an 05 titan swapped, fully locked Xterra. Terrible gas mileage but I made it worse, soooo |

It is based on the quality and reliability of the vehicle. How much life is left in the vehicle and what future problems may be encountered. Reliability and cost of ownership. By your logic, a used BMW 7 series ( for example ) would have high resale value. They don't. They don't retain their value or get anywhere near their MSRP in the used car market. |

I have a 2021 Tundra now and love it. Before this I had a 2017 trd pro Tacoma, I had a 2013 Tacoma, a 2004 Tacoma and I’ve had three 4Runners. I still have a 2019 4Runner as well and it’s great.
My least favorite of all would have been the 2017 Tacoma. My all time favorite Toyota I’ve owned is my 2007 FJ Cruiser. Did I mention I’ve owned a couple other Toyota’s lol.... |

got a 2020 TRD Off Road, its great, love it off road, thing will go anywhere

Reliability and cost of ownership. View Quote No, it's based on supply, demand, and perception of value. I drove an '02 frontier for a long time, and liked it a lot. My two beefs with it were the shitty economy (V6 with a manual) and the lack of a locking diff/limited slip. When off roading, I would often get stopped because two wheels were spinning. It was underpowered, too, but I drive like a boomer. I had an X-terra that I liked a lot too. At some point, Nissan decided all of their trucks should be ugly as fuck, and I lost interest. |

Test drove 3 trd 4x4s
Hilly areas. Bought a ZR2. I have Toyota parts listed on Craigslist that came out of my FJ. Some people have had bad torque converters in the GMs. I'm not one of them. 32k miles so far. The truck gets used a lot off road. |

It is based on the quality and reliability of the vehicle. How much life is left in the vehicle and what future problems may be encountered. Reliability and cost of ownership. No, it's based on supply, demand, and perception of value. Also it's based MSRP as I said. A Tacoma is always thrown out there as a vehicle to get due to its projected high resale value. I paid $36.4k for my $45k MSRP ZR2. So, hypothetically, if someone paid $40k for their $40k MSRP Tacoma at the same time and we both sell for $33k, which is the better value? The Tacoma lost a lower percentage of value based on MSRP so its resale value is higher. The Tacoma owner lost $7k while I lost $3.4k. Point being when projected vehicle resale is thrown out there it is a function of MSRP and not discounted price paid. You can't base projected resale value on price paid because everyone gets different deals so it is understandable why MSRP is used. Its just stupid to use as a potential buyer as you can get a great deal on a vehicle with lower resale and come out ahead of a less discounted and higher resale vehicle. Weigh in purchase price and what vehicle you like better and dont blindly think that a vehicle advertised with a high resale value means you lose less money than one with a lower resale value. |
