Wow those coordinated press releases...
Reminds me of Zumbo's "I was tired, and I didnt mean it when I called you terrorists...can I have my job back, Please?" |

Fuck them both.
Nobody is that inept nor do lobbyists work like that. Especially on bills directly related to clients business. |

In this day and age, anyone in the gun industry just oughtta fucking know better. I don't even feel sorry for whats going to happen to them both.

like this
Dear Stefany
Your company's statement regarding SB-1657 would be better written like this: We fucked up, Sorry. Sincerely Ower of SA firearms ps. You guys are Done! View Quote |

“At the time of my initial statement to the media, I was ill-informed of the ramifications of this bill and its detrimental effects to the Second Amendment, which I have personally fought to protect my entire life. I can tell you now, we at Springfield Armory are unequivocally 100 percent against this bill and will continue to work with the NRA and others to ensure that it is defeated,” said Dennis Reese, Chief Executive Officer, Springfield Armory.
OK, then why was the 'review' section of FB shut down on Saturday and statement released at 5:45 on Monday? |
|
|
So to believe what they have said in their press releases the lobby went off the reservation and took a course of action never discussed with either SA or RRA.
That doesn't happen. Ever. |

Ill-informed.....Bull Fucking Shit. You let IMFA carve out your little piece of the pie while selling out the rights and liberties of your customer base. I own several Springfield firearms but I can assure you I will NEVER buy another SA product. I will additionally consider it my duty to ensure that every potential firearm buyer is informed and aware that Springfield Armory is more than happy to sell them down the road to the most corrupt politicians in this country, for their own betterment. Tom Reece and the Larsons of RRA as the heads of the two companies that essentially fund the IMFA were in no way "blindsided" or caught unaware. I guarantee they knew full well what was happening and decided to take the gamble, hoping that nobody would notice. Sorry boys, you got caught and if there is any justice the firearms owners of this country will break it off in your collective asses and make both of your companies a pariah the firearms world. |

[email protected] 309-944-8994 Springfield Armory is a privately held company owned by The Reese Family. Lives in Southern California. Never fired an AR before. Stefany Reese’s appreciation for firearms has increased over the years, but living in southern California makes accessing a wide variety of firearms considerably difficult. Though, that doesn’t stop her from enjoying shooting. She frequently hits the range in her local area, and over the Thanksgiving holiday this year, enjoyed shooting on the family farm back in Illinois with family and longtime friends
While Stefany had only fired an AR once prior to her introduction to the SAINT |

Ya gotta give 'em credit tho. It takes balls to unload a pile of horse shit like this and expect your customers to believe you. This bill was introduced in 02/2015 and these two were the two biggest financial supporters of IFMA while they negotiated this sell out for the both of them, for the financial gain of both of them, and they say they never knew about it? Maybe they should run for office with that kind of nerve. LOL. Consulting firms are more then happy to take the heat as long as you keep signing the checks.
For immediate release: May 1, 2017 Rock River Arms, Inc.® (RRA) wants to assure the Illinois (and national) firearms community that we are still 100 percent opposed to the Gun Dealer Licensing Act - SB1657, the house version of the same bill, and any potential final legislation that may come from those bills along with any other infringements on the gun rights of law-abiding citizens everywhere. For more than twenty years, Rock River Arms and Springfield Armory have actively opposed gun control legislation at the local, state, and federal levels. In 2009, we partnered with other manufacturers to form an organization geared towards representing our interests - The Illinois Firearms Manufacturers Association (IFMA). Historically, that organization has done well in representing us in Springfield, Illinois. We had no reason to believe that it was doing anything beyond representing the firearms community’s (Illinois firearms manufacturers, dealers and gun owners) best interests, keeping us well-informed on relevant legislation and issues, acting on our behalf. In the case of SB1657, there was a disconnect and that representation was misguided. While we do believe that IFMA acted in what it felt was the best interests of its members, we were as shocked as everyone else to find ourselves exempted from provisions of SB1657 and that IFMA was no longer opposing that bill, even though RRA still opposed it. Again, Rock River Arms wants to emphasize (regardless of anything that may have been said or done, mistakenly or otherwise, by any other party on our behalf) its continued total opposition to SB1657, the Illinois House version of the bill and any final legislation that may emerge. This includes any provisions found in Gun Dealer Licensing Act SB1657, along with any other threats that may infringe upon our gun rights. If you have any further questions or require more information about our position, please contact: Sarah Larson, General Manager or Steve Mayer, LE, Government, and International Sales Manager at 309-792-5780. Thank you. Chuck Larson President/Owner Rock River Arms, Inc. |

Drop the political garbage. I'm not embarrassed and Springfield did nothing wrong. Take the tme to investigate that whole situation in IL. |

RRA President's statement refers to the "House version of the same bill".
It seems the owner doesn't even know what the bill number in the House is. It is HB2541 http://ilga.gov/legislation/BillStatus.asp?DocTypeID=HB&DocNum=2541&GAID=14&SessionID=91&LegID=103735 |
