Hope I'm hunting with AR and 30 round mags. Smoke a pack a day. Per our governor's instructions.

If it becomes apparent the moose is done for, I would shoot the moose. If after the shot the wolves did not leave or hung in the area they would be shot as well, at the end of the day I AM GOING HOME SAFE.
If I were hunting moose I would let the wolves kill the moose then shoot the wolves once they are no longer needed. Circle of life.

at $200-400.00 a animal I would be shooting wolves as fast I could.
I'd watch with a deep, morbid fascination.
Unless my life was in immediate and direct danger, no chootin'. |
Shoot the moose in the head, let the wolves all run from the gunshot and proceed to keep the moose if I had a tag for it. If not I'd leave it and let the wolves come back for it once I was out of there. If the wolves didn't run from the sound of gunfire and I was freezing to death in the tree I'd be forced to take harsher measures. As much as I'd hate to shoot the wolves I'm going home at the end of the day.

Shoot all the fucking wolves, perform a coup du gras on the moose, then decide if was feasible and legal to dress out the moose and harvest her.
I'd kill every last one of those wolves if I had the chance.
Wolves aren't natural to this area and they are raising all kinds of hell on local wildlife populations. |
It'd be open season on coyotes. The moose would rapidly unass the area and I could go home in relative safety.
Otherwise you'd be stuck up there for hours if not more than a day. |
Sons a bitches, i'd try to shoot every one of the worthless fuckers in the guts.
Shoot the wolf that looks to be the Alpha before the kill ( the one who seems to be in charge) and hammer the rest of them if you can, then keep you mouth shut.
I would just watch in awe at the power of a pack of wolves. Even if shooting them was legal, I'd only do it if I had to in order to get out safely. What I would be doing for sure is taking a ton of pics to document the scene. Nothing cruel or wrong with wolves doing what they do. That moose was either weak or old and the wolves keep the herd strong by culling out the frail. Great pics btw!

You can't pay for live entertainment like that! Strap in and enjoy the show.

KILL THE WOLVES! The cow (Moose) has been bred already carry the next monster bull. Circle of life my ass! Trapping and hunting of wolves and been regulated to hell. Making the wolves numbers higher then anytime in history.
Also, I don't care how big your balls are. Walking out of those woods at night would be a pucker factor of 1000. |
I'd wait till the walfs (dag wolfs) were involved in eating the moose. Then I'd quietly un-ass the area.
If I shot the moose, the walfs would un-ass the area, and would still be hungry. Then they'd come looking for me. If I started shooting the walfs, same ting would happen; there'd just be one less walf. |

Depending on how comfortable I was in the perch; I would be torn between immediately shooting as may wolves as I could get, or letting them eat their fill and hoping I had a better chance of killing them all once the were full of moose.

He should have shot the wolves before they took down the moose.

Wolves were once native to the entire continent, it was shortsighted fools who killed them off. Nature works this way, regardless of whether it is a moose, a cow, or a deer. It is the way it is meant to work, and the only way nature is healthy is when the entire circle is there, predators and prey. I'd watch, take pictures, and then leave the area when it was safe. But I'm not a psychopath that thinks gut shots, and needless killing is cool or acceptable.

This is the kind of pictures I show the pussies who get mad at me for shooting feral house cats.

Depends, do I have tags for wolf or not? If I have tags then I am going to have a couple really nice wolf pelts that will make some awesome glove or boot liners. Maybe if I have enough a blanket.
