They do this shit in Texas too, when i used to manage a (plant) nursery/landscape business people would often fill out applications bragging about their drug use and how they never really worked while on a job.

I have an uncle on welfare that scans the local papers first to see who is going out of business, which becomes the places he submits a resume to. Obviously, they can't hire so he gets to remain on "assistance" because of his paper trail. I've held jobs with more responsibility and paid more taxes at 24 than he has his entire 60-something years. Worthless individual.

People like OP is suggesting - if the recommendation is even real - probably should.

ETA - You should contact her about a follow-up interview. I've interviewed for jobs (that I've gotten, mind you) that required 3 or more interviews.

I'd bet you $$$ she doesn't show up. Make it hard on her, without really losing too much. Unless your time is REALLY valuable, it could be fun to see what she does.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN,

This letter is to let you know how ############ your extern is doing with us the last three weeks.

######## is really good at doing UAs, RBS and putting in patients. She is polite and very punctual.

On the other hand ########## lacks motivation. She doesn't take leadership at work; she needs continous guidance and leadership for caring on the job.

######### needs more practice doing clinical procedures, especially taking blood pressure and drawing blood.

In summary, ######## weakness is on leadership, checking blood pressure and drawing blood for patients.

We tried our best to teach her for the last three weeks.

Thats most of the letter, It goes on to repeat some parts. But thats the gist of the letter. I wonder why she hasnt found a job in two years.

For her position, drawing blood and BPs are crucial.

The part thats most damning is that she doesnt give a shit about the patients and just doesnt care.

I can't remember exact figures cause I don't get involved in the office work. But if I recall correctly, if "they" qualify for the program they get in the neighborhood of 900 bucks worth of free work to their car per calender year. Most of the cars we get in for that aren't worth putting a plate on, let alone some of the crap these people want done.

But the boss takes em in cause once they are approved the state always pays.
