Chamber a round, remove magazine, top magazine back up to it's capacity. Wait, it is them, that couldn't be it.

Appears to be a link from a belt fed. Probably just a look how awesome I am thing. In the pic of the guy with crutches that isn't a 7.62x39round. Could be a U.S. 7.62 or even an 8mm Mauser round. I agree. Purpose? Fuck if I know. Maybe they just think it's cool. |

Most halal aiming device! Cartidge was blessed by local shaman, and guides lesser peasant rounds to target.

A cool picture, nonetheless. The guy apparently needs crutches to walk, but he's still got some fight in him. Yup, that is cool. Reminds me of my Dad, a Vietnam vet.... gray hair and beard, crutches, assault rifle.... |

On the old guys rifle it looks like a larger round than 762x39 to me Probably has more to do with luck/superstition than anything else I noticed that too. Maybe .308 |

Maybe it's to remind the soldier what caliber ammunition his rifle uses...
"use this- 7.62x39, not 5.45x39" |

I predict Magpul is gonna sell a bunch of Modular Backup Munition Carriers but not before the Chinese airsofters again beat em to the market. LaRue's billet version should be out by March with 10% of the sales going to Rick Perry. They already sell a plug that lets you keep a few rounds in the grip. |

Maybe it was the expelled shell casing sent with the gun for MA compliance and Hadji stuck another projectile in there and made it into a cool hood ornament.

Lybia and Afganistan are pretty far apart. Who is spreading this Halal tacticool trend? Something like half of Afgans are illiterate so I doubt they are reading about this online.

If you just did a massive mag dump at the infidel, and you needed to harakiri before the infidel captures you and makes you eat pork, wouldn't your reserve bullet be too hot to handle?
I keep my suicide rounds in my MIAD grip because I plan ahead.

SKS––Pushing a pointed object, like an awl or bullet, into a release on the trigger group causes the group to release from the receiver––i. e., the trigger group holds the stock around the barrel and receiver. These aren't sks' though, I thought the same thing initially. |

Those are earned and awarded by actually hitting an enemy. It sorta strikes me as something that a terrorist would do. Have a spare bullet for a suicide mission so he could kill himself before being captured & interrogated. Shit...........something I would do instead of getting my head slowly cut off or being burned alive. |

Looks to me like some guy noticed that one round of linked ammo would clip on the barrel. Others saw it, thought it was "neat", and it spread.
