The Milky Way was incredible last night!  I've been to some of the darkest skies in the U.S., but lasts nights Milky Way was the brightest I've ever seen.

Beat my time at Chaco hands-down.

I took lots of photos, but I'll have to post them once I get back to my editing computer (I shoot in RAW).

In the meantime, here's one I shot from Chaco, these new ones should be even better!

Here's another shot, taken just a second after the first photo I posted here.

Some people have maybe one talent. OP seems to have several.

This was taken the night before the eclipse at camp.  The Milky Way was extremely bright and there were many shooting stars throughout the night.  I have more to process but will probably leave those for tomorrow.  I'll post them in this thread when I finish them.

This is a single 25 second image.  Camera used was a Nikon D600 and Samyang 14mm F2.8 lens.

Thanks, more eclipse photos coming today!

I decided to post the rest of the Milky Way photos in a new thread here.

Thanks for posting. It was cloudy and overcast here in Illinois. The eclipse was a bust for us. Your pics are super.

Here's an overall shot of the totality.  This was taken with my little OMD EM10 and Samyang 7.5mm Fisheye lens (a VERY wide lens).

You can see the 360 degree sunset that surrounded the eclipse.

Thanks!

Since I was in camp for a few days, I took a lot of photos around camp.  Guess I'll post a few here as I edit them.

Here's one of them taken after dinner the first evening at camp
