Okay y'all, we need to shorten the leg between St. Louis and the next stop. @JestersHK can meet DoverGunner in Wentzville. We need somebody between St. Louis and Indy. Let's shift the WHOLE THING a little... I have IMs in to JestersHK and CentralScrutinizer. I need to understand the driving distances. Stand by, y'all. I'm on the Illinois side of the river right outside Scott AFB ~25 miles East of St Louis/Mississippi river. St Louis to Effingham, IL is only ~100 miles straight East on I-70. ~200 mile round trip for me to get back home. |

From my house to Effingham, Google maps says 1 hour 11 minutes. From Effingham to Terre Haute 1 hour 7 minute. So, I can go to Effingham to meet CentralScrutinizer and take Loki to Terre Haute with no problem. In the more Northern route it is 2 Hours 10 minutes to Indy starting from Champaign. Again, no problem for me. Saturday is best for me. I will send my phone in texts. |

Okay.. @Cordwood lives way north of our route. If he participates, it is an insane drive for him. A LOT of hours that I don't think are necessary, just to get to the route, then get home. That's why I left him out. ARFCOM is AMAZING. We have people everywhere. There is ZERO reason somebody needs to spend 12 hours driving, to transport a dog over 1.5 hours. SO... NOT including Cordwood...but...including @Cotter615 ....does the transport work. PEOPLE IN THAT AREA...LOOK AT THE RELAYS...DO THEY WORK? IS THERE A GAP? I DON'T LIVE THERE. I HAVE TO HAVE YOUR HELP. |

I have finally figured out that Loki has a mission from God. And all the forces of darkness are trying to prevent his fulfilling his mission. Never saw so many obstacles. Maybe there is a reason. Maybe God has the exact right timing in mind. AND..the dark side does not realize...we are Arfcom. So...CALL TO BATTLE! We are gonna get Loki home!

That is funny ;-) but true. Kitties with Sigs thank you for all your hard work and dedication. Today I played fetch and tug of war with Loki until he was beyond ready to come inside. Just as Loki started to get a drink the neighbor's son knocked on the door. This 10 yo loves Loki and Loki loves him. I got the 3' rope and back outside we went. You have no idea how entertaining it is watching a 10 yo and Loki playing tug of war. Loki pulls that poor child all over the yard. Both are stubborn and refuse to let go of the rope. That kid loves playing with Loki. Playtime was over around 6pm. This Loki as of a few minutes ago a very happy dag.

Cordwood was originally offering pickup in Effingham, IL and on to Terre Haute, IN and back home to Champaign,IL. Roughly 4+ hr round trip. We take him out due to extended duration of his trip and extend my round trip from 3 1/2 to 5 1/2 or 6 hrs. Not complaining or being a whiner but just trying to understand where i am looking at this wrong. I'll check in again when I get home in a few hours. |

If we could slide @Cordwood leg from Effingham, IL to Terre Haute, IN back in(cuts about 2+ hours round trip off for me unless there have been other changes I am unaware of) would fix any time constraints I have. I had made a proposed trip plan with starting and ending points that seemed to work for everyone involved but got nothing but crickets on that suggestion. I did not post it in this thread as I didn't want to muddy the waters for the coordinator. The longest legs were the beginning and end and I believe proposed and agreed upon by those drivers. Completely understand getting 8-10 hard headed arfcommers (who don't know each other) all on the same page for a transport like this is like herding cats. I'm on board as we all are working for the same end goal of getting this pup to a welcoming home.

I have made contact with cotter6015 about handing off in Richmond IN (I70 and highway 27). Need to confirm how he is getting to Indiana. Exchange at either Terre Haute ( I70 and highway 41) or Cloverdale (I70 and highway 231) are good options. |

Awesome. Sounds like we may be making progress. These are the only legs of which I am sure. Hopefull we can expand the list from start point to destination. I've listed a couple driving times to help schedule things. Centralscrutinizer will get Loki to Effingham, IL Cordwood will handle Effingham IL to Cloverdale, IN. (1.5 hour - 100 miles) Efpeter will get Cloverdale IN to Richmond IN (2 hours - 120 miles) Cotter6015 will pick up from Richmond IN |

We've bumped someone from a leg due to excessive drive time when mine is now 2 hours OVER that drive time. 5. I'm confused. If Cordwood's drive time is only four hours, then that's fine. My original understanding was that his drive was much longer. |

I apologize to everyone. This normally goes much easier. in order of occurence, it appears the legs are as follows: @DoverGunner to Wentzville @JestersHK Wentzville to _____________ (please fill in this blank?) @Cordwood Is this where you fit in the relays? There was a lot of confusion about direction and back and forth initially, so I don't have a good sense of this at all. Based on our IMs, I understood you were WAY off the route and had to drive several hours to get TO the route. Is this not correct? If not and you are a good fit, please join in. @Central Scrutinizer-- What will your leg look like? @efpeter --Indiana Border to north of Columbus @ RECONSIX --North of Columbus to home This will put you home late, most likely. Is this okay? Has each driver gotten in contact with the driver BEFORE and AFTER him? If so, is the route covered? I don't have towns for some of this, and want to be sure we're not missing anything. Loki cannot move until we know the relay legs are intact. |

I am Richmon, In to N Columbus. efpeter and I have phone numbers and meeting place just need an estimated time. I don't believe IMs on this site are working very well. I've been in touch with Cordwood but do not think my IMs to JestersHK are going through.
