2 thoughts. VAGOV is obviously nervous about it and secondly, that's all temporary fencing that looks like it will comedown pretty easily View Quote Certainly hope that's not my company's fencing ETA: Doesn't even look like the panels are clamped or wire tied together, pulling panels off is a simple matter of lifting them up and off the t-stands. ETA2: Panels will weight between 70-80 lbs each depending on post gauge. They can generally be lifted by one person but their size makes it a little awkward. Multiple people could pull them off easily. |

Temporary construction fencing. Each section just lifts straight up.

How much do the fence sections weigh, and what is the lift capacity of a large weather balloon?

But then there are the police officers behind the fence guarding the perimeter. How would you deal with them?

I'm waiting to see what (if anything actually ends up happening). I'm hoping for there to be a huge turnout, and for people to actually see that the "gun people" aren't just a few basement dwellers, but a large group of the population.
With the "no gun area" law they just established, all of the cops, and all of the fencing and other barriers....I'm guessing that might scare a lot of people off. If you go now, and are carrying....you have to accept the fact that you might be arrested and drug through the ringer. Kind of hard not to "invite the man into your life" in this situation. I wish the best for the guys who are going to risk a lot to be there......god speed. |

If they are building walls, we should be building trebuchets.
You know, to launch our "grievances" at them. |

Well.....if you've got 10,000 people there, and many are willing to hang around....
...the spectacle of the Virginia State Government effectively blockaded inside, unable to leave because thousands of people are blocking the routes out, would be quite the PR debacle. "Now youse can't leave...." |

Harbor freight has some 12-14" bolt cutters for the princely sum of $14 or less if you have a coupon.

That's not what you think it is.

Remember to stack the panels neatly and leave the park cleaner then when you arrived. We're not savages.

Nothing says "we are not trying to take away your freedom" like putting people in a pen. What terrible optics.

While I'm in favor of bringing (though not necessarily using) some form of wire cutters-what if we just chained the panels together? And either joined him inside his perimeter, or outside it. Or both.
I'm not stuck in here with you. You're stuck in here with me. |
