MRO. Not only is it lighter w/greater battery life, the controls are more ergonomic and it comes w/a lifetime warranty (AP's do not).
Out of all the dozens of people who have tried one of my MRO's, not a single one has complained about (or even commented on) tint, magnification, etc.
The PRO, while a good optic, still has that exposed switch knob that can break from impact rendering the optic DOA (there's a reason the CompM4 & M4S went to a knob that's physically disconnected from the switch).

That battery claim has got to be theoretical because I have had the same battery in my PRO longer than the MRO has been a product. I am going on 4 years with the same PRO battery, so even if the claim is accurate, it's essentially a distinction without a difference given how long the PRO's battery lasts.
AimPoint is bomb-proof and proven, but the PRO is fairly large. The MRO is significantly less expensive than AimPoint micros, but there are even less expensive alternatives in a similar size.
I guess what I'm saying is you can't go wrong with any of the major RDS optics on the market now. Get your eyes behind one, see what you like and buy that.
