Can someone please explain to me, why do these people think that these riots help their cause? Why would anyone think that tearing up your own neighborhood would change someones mind? I get it that it draws attention, but is this the kind of thing you want to be a part of? They are destroying personal and public property, inconveniencing a lot of people, and pretty much show themselves to be ignorant of the words on their own signs.
I don't see how any of this helps their cause. And that brings another question - what is their cause? What do they even want? Do they think Trump is going to resign because they are throwing a temper tantrum? Or do they think they are going to recruit enough people for a violent overthrow of the government? None of this makes any sense to me. |

From some of the live feed on the ground, "light" hostility (shining bright lights & blocking the view with signs) was shown towards the camera, which was completely surrounded as the camera was spinning around, trying to get a clear picture of the event. I don't recall ever seeing this for a "protest" before. For you guys with cameras, I would take this as a warning for the next go-around. It looked like things could have gone sideways for the cameraman in an instant.
