I agree with the last part. If he is going to say it on national TV he should stand by his words and not backpedal. Had Clinton had the nerve to take out who needed taking out we would not be chasing bin laden from cave to cave now and 9/11 might not have happened at all. Thousands of lives and billions of dollars saved. Robertson's stance on Chavez should have already been implemented by executive order. Damn the laws that say otherwise, the enemies of this country should die! What else are the CIA and the other "black box" boys good for? Chavez is going to be big trouble in years to come. We will then look back and wish we had popped him. Asshat? Hardly. He speaks truth and fears God. That's more than can be said for most. |

OK, you're serious. I believe you. 1. Chavez only made this offer because in reality it's impossible to grant. Offer subsidized gas to the poor in America and we'd suck Venezuela dry. This is nothing but propaganda to make Chavez look like a good guy. 2. You're incredibly stupid if you think his offer was serious, honest, and legit. You completely fell for his demagoguery. 3. It was inspired by Castro's offer to medically treat and educate America's poor. Something Cuba is constantly praised for to justify Castro's communist dictatorship. It's also something he's entirely unable to deliver. But he knows just offering to do so (even if it's impossible) will earn him lots of cheap easy press and the support of dipshits who think he's serious. "Vote for Pedro and all your dreams will come true!" |

Re-read what i said. Never said anything of the sort. Let me reiterate. I said I like some of his ideas. The whole "Dont fuck the little guy" idea. You can have a government thats doesnt fuck the little guy and isnt communism. So to say I like his socio-economic model is one hell of a stretch. I also did say, and will continue to say, that this country is fucked up. Now the funny thing is, all you guy band together, play billy badass and pat each other on the back. "Oh yeah, fuck yea, America!!" Bullshit. Then I see dozens of threads bullshit this and bullshit that. Under Chavez's rule, when the little guy decided to sign a petition protesting Chavez's rigged election, he got shot. You clearly know nothing about life in the country. Read Animal Farm to get a general idea of how communism works. There will ALWAYS be folks at the top. Only in a country like ours is there any real social/political/economic mobility.
