Sorry, Kevin.
I don't believe we can accept SMG's/Machine Pistols as valid opinions in this thread.

The best looking handgun in my opinion is the Walther P38 in 9mm.

Something has to be said about that classic style.  I think it has to do with the "stand out" barrel and the grip contour that does it.

For me, nothing else comes close. Everything else is just a modified 1911.

And the ugliest has to be any Glock.  Funtional yes, pretty no.

Personally, love the 92F, and love the Browning HP, but for some reason, what catches my eye, is a GI M1911A1 .45! That has always impressed me, since I was a kid. I also love the M1 Garand, and the M1 Tommygun too. Traditional weapons with historic signifgance.

Duty wise, I usse the HP (L9A1) when issued (rare), normally I got a F88SA1 Austeyr rifle. A Pistols is a sniper lure.

Something about 1911's just absolutely stir me in my loins.........
I carry a Kimber Custom Stainless.  Not only
does it shoot exceptionally good but dern it
just looooooooooooooooooooooks good!
The lines, the form, the grip angle, the
rounded night sights, the Hogue grips, even down
to the Wilson 8 rders with extended pad sticking
out the bottom just makes me puuuuuuuuuuuuuur.
Truly the 1911's were made for those who dang
near have a love affair with their pistolas.

Was always fond of the English old style revolvers from a purely aesthetic point of view.
Webleys and Adams revolvers seem kind of artistic. Kind of a very elegant combination of form and function for something thats designed to knock holes in things. Kind of ironic in a way.
Now 1911's and Glocks are just to the point, designed around simplicity for a specific purpose, purely a beauty of function.

I like them all, and it is hard just to pick one.

I got to go with the following:

1- Colt Python 6" Blue
2- Beretta 92FS Stainless
3- Browning Hi-Power
4- 1911
5- Walther PPK

Colt Python 4" blue. These guns have been imititated, but can't beat the real thing.

If the SP89 can be considered a pistol, so can the MP5K. [uzi]

That's two for the modern CZ. I had a chance to see the 97B at Krausewerks. Looks really good. Here in CA you only get 10 so you have to make them count. Any thoughts from owners of 10 rd. .45's such as the CZ, Glock, etc?
