Anyone who thinks that Wanenmacher's is just another junk and jerky gunshow, is deluded.  IT IS EPIC!  I have been at least a dozen times, and always see guns that I never knew existed. Do you like lever action 10ga shotguns like in the Terminator? I saw a rack of 10 (originals) last time I was there, along with several scatter through other tables. Like butter-spoon bolt-handle Mannlicher-Schoenauer rifles? I saw a table with 18 in mint condition. Like double barrel shotguns that cost as much as a new Porsche? You will find several. Basically anything you like, there will be a table full, staffed by a subject matter expert. I sold stuff at asking prices, and bought stuff at a bargain. Granted after being lowballed a dozen times, and seeing what I wanted at several tables, for 140% of what I paid. A couple of years ago when my SIL and I last went, it was the opening weekend of deer season. To put that in perspective, we both insisted in getting married in December and February because we didn't want the wedding to interfere with any hunting seasons. Most guys from adjoining states will be able to find a FFL at a table that will handle the transfer and transport. The FFL that I used to use, from my home town, no longer attends. So next time I go I will have to make arrangements. I you like guns, you owe it to yourself to experience this while you still can. |

I'll be there later this afternoon. Planning on Tallys for breakfast, it's on the way. I'm not planning on meeting for dinner. Will need to go feed the dags and not making a 2nd trip into Tulsa. Will probably be in bed by 8. Hope everyone traveling has a safe trip. |

Holy crap, miles of guns, knives, gear, targets, collectibles, pretty decent food, took me six hours to walk it. Got a decent deal on a Kimber Raptor Pro. Was a pleasure to meet the crew, sorry more arfcom didn't make a great dinner last night I hear breakfast tomorrow is top shelf. Thanks for handling things and being a good host. |
