Trouba and Panarin picked up a handful of points each - but Kakko and Fox didn't do much.

Ducks looked good tonight.

They might have looked good, because San Jose really sucks though.

we were playing a different game then the usual one of dump and chase. I saw speed and skill...?

Again, i'll reserve any positive comments until i'm sure we aren't playing a dumpster fire, 21-61 team for feel goods.

Any of you guys go to the redwings games regularly? Our booster club had a deal for a lower bowl ticket and a ride on a party bus to the Jackets/Wings game on 12/17, me and the wife and my dad will be there, wondering if I'd be meeting anyone?

To be fair... The Whale were this || close to going to Columbus, so I think it works out.

This is a rough start - I knew goaltending would be questionable, but WOW. $8.9 million in cap space... is there a decent goalie out there??

I'm against the grain here... we have some great defensive depth, Werinski, Jones, Gravikov.... in theory they should boost and compensate for a average to below average goalie. What I and some friends are confused about is why we resigned Harrington (not great), and haven't bought out or ILRd Dubinsky, the weaponized out shitload of cap space to get someone to semi fill panarins spot. Gentleman's agreement and all with offer sheets, but I think it was a failure of the FO.... then again this may all be long term concerns for the expansion draft...

I hadn't even considered the expansion draft... Maybe this is a throwaway season? Get a good draft pick and protect the core in the expansion?

Yup, I really think it's alot of the GMs long term plan with the semi odd contracts over the offseason. Idk if anyone else has noticed, but alot of the resigning or extension contracts have very odd terms, most have a HUGE jump in cap hit the year of the expansion, I'm thinking poison pills for protection.
