Is there any issue with stripping a fsb and pinning a G gas block? I assume that the 250 Shark arms ones are fsb? I would imagine the front drill hole for the fsb will be exposed? But it seems easier to swallow than $400+ for a non-fsb. |

From what I understand the green ones are used by FBI Swat...not just HRT. The gray ones are used by SOG and the black ones are used on field agent rifles. They used to use troy rails.... The FBI color codes their guns for admin reasons. The Geissele rail is standard on all current FBI carbines. Regular agents get black Glocks (including POW) and the current issue Carbine is an 11.5” Colt in black with the 10” Geissele rail, ergo grip, CTR stock and either an Aimpoint H2 on a DD mount or a SIG Romeo 4M. Troy BUIS Viking tactics sling and Gen 2 Inforce WML. There are some gray carbines with PDW stocks in use by SOG (full surveillance units) for use in vehicles. Other than the color and PDW stock they are the same as the standard issue. SWAT guns are green carbines and battle field green G17s with factory - connectors. Some of the SWAT carbines have Geissele triggers. SWAT agents have more latitude in accessories and optics. How much dependis on the office / team. HRT has tan Glocks. Logical their carbines would be similar. There is an approved POW rifle, a Colt 6920 with a 16” barrel and an 11”” Troy Alpha rail. Approved optics etc are the same as the issued Carbine. Many of the prior issue RRA m4’s were converted to 11.5” and the 11.5” colts were originally issued with Troy Alpha rails. The FBI is a big Agency and there are various combinations of these guns / configurations out there but the end goal is all issued 11.5” carbines with Geissele rails. |
