Quoted: Quoted: For fish, there'a a pretty good fish market that flies all their stuff in. White River Fish Market. That place is very good and about the best you can get without going near the coast where there's fresh fish or seriously expensive fine dining restaurants. That being said, the quality of food there has gone down a little in recent years and the price keeps going up. |

The bordering states rule went away decades ago. Anyone but Californians can buy rifles, shotguns, & antiques @ Tulsa.
I'll be there. Looking for a Winchester 52 target. It's a great show.
I've updated the OP in the O'Fisheel thread w/ attendees from this and the dupe thread. If you have a table, want to specify which day you're going to attend, want to join me @ the JM Davis Arms Museum on Friday, or want to tell folks what you're looking for, post up here.

Grew up in Tulsa. I usually drive up for the show and visit family

Anyone need a ride from D/FW area? Going up Thursday afternoon or Friday morning, coming back Monday after stopping @ GWACS new digs.

Don't forget Bodeans; "Bodean Fresh Fish: Our market carries the best selection of fresh fish and shellfish in Tulsa. All of our seafood is flown in fresh twice daily from around the world." As I recall they have been flying in 2 planes daily for over 50 years. |

I would run the place looking for a single item.
Smith & Wesson Model 41 muzzle cap. 4 hour drive for the chance at 1 thing? Maybe! |
If all goes well I'm heading up there Thursday.
I've never been before. What time do I need to get in line Saturday? |
I'll do a poll next weekend on restaurant suggestions.
ETA: IM me or post up on what days y'all plan to be there, and if you plan to hit the JM Davis Museum on Friday - or earlier. I think we have enough folks to rent a house, if anyone's interested. |
I'll be there, not sure which day, but I will note the things you all are looking for and keep an eye open.

For an outstanding breakfast or lunch near the show, try Tally's Good Food Café (1102 S Yale location) or Brownie's Hamburger Stand (2130 S Harvard location, since 1956).
Edit to add that if you spend too much at the gun show, you can get a huge home cooked meal at Tally's for around $10.00 plus drink, tax, and tip. |

This show has been a bucket list thing for me. I am planning to go, I will be going in with a friend on Friday, and through the rest of the weekend. Looking for a good place to eat while I am in Tulsa. I noted some of the restaurants in the previous post. Are we doing a ARF meetup?
That's the plan. Are we done suggesting restaurants? I've got to pare the list down to 6 for the poll.
Bump for day krewe. Last call for restaurant suggestions, so we can poll & set up a meetup for dinner Sat night.

My plans changed. My FIL and I are going Saturday instead of Sun. Look for a big guy in a cowboy hat riding a scooter and say Hi. The codeword is "applejack"

Two years ago after the show we ate at the Freeway Cafe on our way back home. I thought it was good. Nothing special but the liver and onions was spot on.
Freeway Cafe 5849 S 49th W Ave, Tulsa, OK 74107 |

Not making the cut. If we're down to suggesting liver and onions places I'm gonna do the poll in a minute. Last chance for a Tulsaite to really piss off his wife and have his BBQ skills praised for years on ARFCOM.

Poll up. If your favorite didn't make the cut, start your own O'Fisheel thread for the November show.
We're gonna need an actual headcount, which I will post in the OP. So post up if you're gonna make dinner, Just learned that I can lock the exiting poll (so we might be going to Kilkenny's if nobody else votes ), and set a new poll. So once we've sorted out where we're going, I'll poll a preferred time & try to get reservations. |
I have not voted, as due to prior commitments I will not be able to join you all for dinner. But if you have any questions about the restaurants in the list send me a PM and I can provide you some info on most of them.

As stated in the original post, I have tables at the Tulsa Arms Show, island 13A, tables #3&4.
What I offer is a dumping space for any swag you buy, but don't want to carry around all day. I will also have a chair or two if you need to cool your heels. Look for glass display cases that will have a few Rhodie mags in them, like in my avatar. Secret code word is "Guacamole" in honor of a recent poster who recently provided many LOL's in GD ETA: I will also have a heavy duty cart to borrow if you are buying bulk ammo. |
I'll leave it to the collective good judgement of GD to decide on dinner (God help me).
Just let us know where and what time. |

I'm taking this is a young ladies self-help organization where they solicit contributions to their college funds?

Not gonna vote because I will be at work Saturday night. But, I'm cheap and like beer, so it would be Kilkennys. FYI there should be a USPSA match on Sunday morning at USSA, assuming weather doesn't screw it up again. Hopefully I will make it to shoot for the first time since child #2 popped into the world.

Depends. Smaller vendors for ammo, C&R, antiques, & accessories will largely be cash only. Oklahoma FFLs selling rifles and shotguns to non-Oklahomans will likely take CC.

I booked a room at a Holiday Inn Express solely to increase my brain and purchasing power!! I know all the tricks.

Saturday morning bump - we'll be walking in the doors, fellas!
Sister and bil are driving in for the show and I'm meeting them for dinner. Won't make the get together.
We'll catch you in the show. If you're looking for something, IM me your cell # and I'll distribute it amongst the posted attendees.
Y'all post up if you're coming to dinner. Getting close to locking the poll & replacing it w/ preferred time. Kilkenny's in the lead! |
