I don't have east and west mixed up. you said that pacific path would be shorter. I said that eastbound over atlantic would be shorter. actually, shortest great circle flight would be north,north-east over the Artic.

in the end, the distance in either direction is almost the same since it appears that New Dehli is within 4* Long +/- of being directly opposite Mexico City.

just depends on what airline they decide to take if it ends up being an easterly flight or a westerly flight.

Omitting, of course, that the reason they were stuck in Mexico is because Trump got the Mexicans to shut off the flow of economic migrants through Mexican territory. . . .
