A row of the memorial crosses, which carry the names of U.S. soldiers killed during the Iraq war, were destroyed when Northern, a Waco resident, allegedly drove his truck (which was dragging a pipe and chains) over them. The crosses are part of an encampment Sheehan has dubbed "Camp Casey" in honor of her late son, a 24-year-old Army Specialist killed in action last year. Sheehan has said she will not budge from the road leading to the president's ranch until he meets with her to explain "why our sons are dead." Northern is a Waco realtor and gun enthusiast who has served as president of a local "shooting sports facility" (click here to see Northern and fellow gun club officers posing in front of an American flag).

Whats the problem, they have a protest and so did he. If you put stuff on the side of a road, it is bound to be hit by a moving vehicle eventually, that is why its part of the road.

This is total bullshit, they guy should not have been cited. In contrast the protestors should have been cited for leaving litter on the roadside. I don't care what you see in it, I don't expect people to leave their protest/stuff/trash on the roadside.

3. He ran over and desecrated the Flag of the United States.

At the very least under Texas law the skunk scent could be a Class C misdemeanor (up to $500 fine) for Disorderly Conduct. The law says something about noxious odors. heyBetter to just stay away. Mom Cindy has become a grief-stricken, publicity hounding loon.

Is it possible he ran over a bunch of the protesters' stuff? That the markers, although in reality totally ancillary (perhaps even accidental), are being emphasized by the media, in an effort to place him in the worst possible light? After all, as everyone has already noticed, they made a point of mentioning he's a firearms enthusiast.
