My economics professors were all openly conservative. The rest were not.
It's hard to be a libtard in an economics department...
I liked my high school economics class... within the first week we had been taught that raising taxes makes thing worse 99% of the time, unions suck, and got to watch some informative videos on the triumphs of the free market by none other than John Stossel. Now, my history teacher from the previous year was pretty good... had two stickers on the whiteboard... "TANSTAAFL" and "Don't steal. The government hates completion." It made some of the liberal students somewhat uncomfortable. Naturally, he later added a picture satirizing Obama as an incompetent monkey (shortly after his inauguration). It was pretty funny.
I had another teacher who was a retired DC Metro homicide detective and Vietnam-
era Army vet. Old Catholic Italian guy from Brooklyn. He wasn't particularly outspoken about politics, but whenever the issue was brought up he made it clear he was no fan of socialized healthcare, Social Security, tax increases, or anything of that sort. The only thing he was particularly liberal about was immigration and gun control, and even then only be Arfcom standards (still to the right of 90% of Democrat voters, or anybody from MSNBC, NYT, etc).
Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever had a particular liberal or leftist teacher. Well, except one substitute who was a democratic socialist in the vein of George Orwell. He was pretty much a genius at everything but politics and philosophy. Actually a very nice, pleasant guy, regardless of your own political ideas. Anyway, he's the only lib teacher I've had throughout my 14 years of California schooling.
