I always wonder how often that 15 pounds of "daily carry gear" actually gets carried. I see a lot of pristine pistols in the pics.

I have changed and experimented to find a comfortable solution for carrying my gear. I am so used to it, that not only does it not bother me, that it feels weird not to carry when I am in a place where it is illegal to do so. My GLOCK 19 is all scarred up and has almost no finish left on the slide. I know what you mean about some of the "carry guns" that look like safe queens.

Hah! you wouldn't believe how often I get that. Except ... I was an engineer, so to us it's an alligator clip! Sure helps keep my keys in the same place in my pants ...

Nope. The FIST holster rides nicely, and it sits high enough in my waist line where it doesn't get in the way of anything. I have carried it there for so long, I don't notice anymore. My blade-tech and Comp-tac used to sit a bit too low - the butt would print and sometimes I'd ding my elbow on the sights, but the fist is "just right".

Wombat_SCSO: Nice rig! What kind of cuff/mag pouch is that? I've been running a leather cuff pouch from time to time, but was thinking of going to one of the combined ones.

Ladies and germs. Daily carry for some of us has gone to a whole new level. Stateside I'm all over my Kimber or my simple but effective Taurus PT92 sporting a pair of mags and my trusty Surefire(unfortunately no pics) But my daily carry along with many other soldiers and contractors has been quite elevated in recent months. Here it is by the numbers:
ACH ( Advanced Combat Helmet )
Interceptor Body Armor w/ Desert OTV cover
DAPS ( Dorsal and Arm Protection )
Throat and neck roll for IBA
And the ever present nut pad
Latest and greatest 7.62  AP Plates
MOLLE Strike gear Tactical Vest ( issued ) in Woodland
3x 2 mag M-16 Pouches in Coyote
1x 4 mag M-16 Pouch in Desert Camo
1x 2 mag M-16 Pouch in Woodland
2x Saber Radio Pouches in Woodland
1x MBITR Radio Pouch in Woodland
4x Grenade Pouches (1 in Desert the others in Woodland )
2x MOLLE NVG Pouches (1 in Desert the other 1 in Woodland)
1x ANPVS 7B's with a ton of AA batteries
1x Homemade First Aid kit
1x Ohhh Sh*# kit (100 MPH tape, electrical tape, lighter, 550 cord, flex cuffs, tie wire, VF-17 panel, small rachet strap )
1x Gerber Blacked Out Demo model multitool
1x Leatherman Supertool Blacked Out
1x CRKT M16- 13SF Tactical Folder
1x CRKT STIFF KISS tanto fixed blade
1x Surefire 6P w/ 4 spares and bulb
1x Colt Arms issue M-16A2 with BMAS two piece front rails, YHM bipod adapter, Harris BIpod, Knights Armament Vert Foregrip, and topped off with a co witnessed Aimpoint Comp M2 (M68).
I weigh in at 180 lbs in standard uniform. Tag all this on and I am looking at 255 LBS and then throw on an assault pack of another 25 LBS

You gotta get with it, Louis Vuitton makes all kinds of stuff for men. $555 tennis shoes, $7350 golf bags, $260 flip-flops, even cufflinks and ties and stuff.

Here's my wallet:
www.eluxury.com/browse/product_detail.jhtml?styleid=10383228&SectionID=6000

And the badass Jeans belt:
www.eluxury.com/browse/product_detail.jhtml?styleid=10548176&SectionID=6000

The business card holder and key holder are LV too.

My wife got me hooked on the Louis Vuitton stuff, you don't want to see her handbag collection...

Anybody that can spend $415 for a belt has "made it" in my book.  But, seriously, I have friends that are lawyers and I'm amazed at the stuff they buy.  But, hey, if you have the cash...

I can't wait untill I get licensed so I can open up my private practice.  And I can't wait to buy me a Vuitton belt, too!  LOL.

So what do you do anyway, Treetop?

Well, whatever the hell you do it appears to pay well.  Hell, I have a Master's in counseling, but I don't think that I'll make more than 65-70K working for an agency; however, if I open up a private practice reaching 100K might be possible.
