They asked a "1st grade" question about a predicate in a sentence the other day. I don't think that's first grade. I could be wrong though.

If the viewing public does not get the joke, then this kind of "scripted" behavior could damage the mass appeal she is trying to establish as a celebrity. Playing dumber than dumb is a huge risk. (In other words, I think she was being genuine.)

Just look at Jaywalking with Jay Leno. There are a lot of oxygen thieves out there.

It could be a risk, but then it seemed to work well for Jessica Simpson.
