Nice work.

I'm currently "strung-out" on original Maxfield Parrish Litho's from the '20's (I've got three original "Daybreaks") but I like what you did there.

I like it but I don't know where I would hang it.

Looks like you love cock.

Funny how "some" people always see certain themes.
I bet you think about "cock" all the time, huh?

Look at a donut, think "gee that reminds me of cock".
See a car, think "gee that reminds me of cock".
Spill some paint, think "gee that reminds me of cock".

Hey, whatever makes you happy, sport.

You asked for it. Tell me they dont look like cocks to you.

I asked for you to discuss the "love of cock"?
I don't think so.

They look like green blobs of paint.
Poured and dried puddles of latex paint.
That is what they are, after all.

But you see not just penises.
YOU see "love of cock".
How telling....

Here is a painting I did, RFS-1 (rapid Fire Sitting) oil on canvas with collage materials and .22LR targets.

Thanks. It is 50"x60". Part of a series that I began when the AWB was passed. I painted them to sort of showcase highpower rifle competition and to P.O. the arts and croissants crowd.

I like the fact that it's part collage...

You've just proved to the world that there is more to you than meets the eye. And by extension, you made us all look better.
It's funny; I'll read posts occasionally that make my blood boil; that make me never want to read the site again. And then there is one of those posts... I think you just raised the IQ level.
My hat's off to you.
The gallery gets HALF?
I really don't know much about art (I do like Bev Doolittle), but if THEY can get $10K, why can't you?

(thanks)

GOOD Galleries take half, yes.

Lesser galleries take 40%, or even %30.

The Good galleries have a huge list of collectors.
They have museum contacts.
They Advertise in Newspapers and trade publications.
They get reviewers to review.

They Charge more and take more.

If you have a contract with an Art gallery, they expect all sales to go through them.
If you sell a piece "out of your studio", you'll be sued and never get into a good gallery, again (unless you're super hot-shit)

It's like selling your home though a realtor. You can't just sell it to your friend, and not tell the realtor.

Nice job---simplified form gives solidity. Looks surreal, but reminds me of Thomas Hart Benton's "style" in a way. As my art instructor, the great Wilbur Niewald used to say, "Keep laying it on".

Benton used build a Plasticine (clay) model of his landscapes, and paint from the model.
That gave the work its strangeness, that I like so much.

You obviously have talent.  I have seen your other works also and always thought they were well done.

But I just don't like the style.  No insult meant, I just have differant taste...ya 'know?

None taken.

Everyone has their own taste, in terms of art and paintings.
