The owner of JBO simply emailed the customer and included personal information gathered from social media sites and such about the customer and put it in the email. It could have been something as simple as: Customer: "I don't care about the money, I make a ton of money at work, way more than you, I just want the right item." JBO: "But it says here on your Facebook that you're a cashier at McDonalds in Springfield. You should care about money." That wouldn't constitute a threat at all. |

He has always been respectful and had great customer service. I'm not familiar with that forum you linked but they seemed to be a less evolved version of our own general discussion forum. Piling on over a disagreement that's iffy at best. If the guy didn't want the lowers he could have shipped em back for store credit or rejected them at the FFL. After you bring them home I'm not sure what else the seller can really do. |

I can see both sides of the issue as it relates to actually having a Spartan roll mark and not having said roll mark making it a blem, but the Arock threat is bullshit, and immediately negates your position in it's entirety. That's grounds for going with the nuclear option. I've bought a lot of stuff from Joe Bob over the years and never had a problem. With this going on they just moved way down on my who to buy from list.

I think he was wrong to advertise the lower as a spartan lower when the thing that makes it a spartan lower was omitted. They also changed their ad copy after the fact that blemishes could include scratches, rubs and omissions, which was not part of the originally agreement when purchasing a blem lower. As the OP of the other thread said, if he wanted a plain billet lower, he could have bought it from Brownell's for 2/3 of the cost.
Joe Bob posting a coupon code just to piss off the Ags is petty too. He may be a cool guy, but evidently if you have a problem, you're SOL. There are way too many reputable dealers out there, that act like adults when there is an issue to waste time with people like this. |

Sheesh... I've eaten thousands of dollars due to a misunderstanding with a customer.
All this bullshit over $200... Both of them might have acted retarded in the transaction, but only one of them stands to lose more than $200. What a dumbass move for a small business owner to make.

I think one could reasonably assume the lower would have had the spartan markings. In fact, this is the first time of heard of that particular "belm". Why not just say that from the start? For blowjobs outfitters to not indicate this is a bit on the shady side. I've bought several items from them without an issue but have no plans on buying from them again. I don't want to get arocked by some turd if I have a complaint.
EDIT: Appears that BJO's ad did indeed describe what the buyer might receive. Buyer has no grounds for complaint IMO. Still waiting for proof of arocking. |
