After many long talks with the crew about the McRib, I had to go get one for everyone.
The moment of excitement...  Quickly turned disappointing.   Maybe it was always bad, but for some reason I remember it being better. Shall we make it better? I’ll start with pork shoulder since that is what McDonald’s uses.  I gave it a course chop since its does not appear to be ground.  Mix in a little rub and meat glue.  Form into something resembling a patty.  Toss in the freezer for a few min to firm up and let the meat glue do its magic.  Stand by... Once they firm up a little, put them on the Traeger for a quick smoke/grill.  My confidence in the meat glue holding up is low as I normally let it sit overnight before cooking, but this is for science. Well, the meat glue held! Flipped and added a little bbq sauce.  Put them together!    And yes, OP delivered.   Pulled a switcharoo

It’s McDonalds. They don’t have anything except garbage food. It’s hard for me to fathom why people spend the money they do buying such awful food. That restaurant chain should have gone bankrupt years ago.

For me, it's the McChicken. The best fast food sandwich. I even ask for extra McChicken sauce packets and the staff is so friendly and more than willing to oblige.
One time I asked for McChicken sauce packets and they gave me three. I said, "Wow, three for free!" and the nice friendly McDonald's worker laughed and said, "I'm going to call you 3-for-free!". Now the staff greets me with "hey it's 3-for-free!" and ALWAYS give me three packets. It's such a fun and cool atmosphere at my local McDonald's restaurant, I go there at least 3 times a week for lunch and a large iced coffee with milk instead of cream, 1-2 times for breakfast on the weekend, and maybe once for dinner when I'm in a rush but want a great meal that is affordable, fast, and can match my daily nutritional needs. I even dip my fries in McChicken sauce, it's delicious! What a great restaurant. |

If you're in the midwest, the Kwik Trip gas station pork rib sandwiches are incredible. In fact, all their food is better than almost any fast food joint.
