You should try a few of them out to make sure they really are Xanax.

I kept finding baggies with the words xanex written on them and various bottles of meds with their labels torn off (my sister has been on and off pain meds) at her place. Then when I talk to my mom, who is also helping out, she admits that she has been crazy and unable to make decisions because she has been on so many meds. So mom admits she has a problem with meds and is trying to get off and my sister has tons of pills... much of which I think my mom was supplying to my sister... great. To make things worse my sister is moving in with my mom. Nope, I don't foresee any potential problems.

And you've inserted yourself into this situation because . . . ?

And you put all this on the internet because.... ?

If it is i don't see a problem.
You made it sound like you found bags of weed or something.

If it's in a baggy and no perscription, that is a felony around here.

All that has to happen for the OP to be seriously screwed is to get pulled over, the cop finds the baggy in the sister's stuff and he is in for a cluster fuck, whether he gets out of it or not, it will cost him money and time.

Don't associate with crazys or losers, whether they're family or not. That's my rule.

Yep... they can make the argument that that's "packaged for sale."  It's also a violation to have controlled substances in anything other than the original bottles.

Lolwut? What about those "daily pill" packages they sell in CVS etc. You know, it has 7 day compartments and then you put a pill in each day so you can keep track and don't forget. My 90YO grandmother is on like 8 different pills and keeping track of when and how is a bitch and a ball.

A chick that has a baggie with a schedule IV narcotic in it, is not the same as a 90 year old woman with her weeks supply of heart meds in a daily pill pack. I don't care if 90 year old has a xanax Sun - Sat, could you imagine the media shit storm if a elderly person was arrested for that reason.

Technically illegal.

That said, the only time I've ever seen that charge actually laid on a person is when they're an obvious dirtbag.  Nobody is going to skin your grandma for that... it just looks bad.

Xanax is not a pain med. Its an anti anxiety tranq that is regularly used recreationally.

Recreationally?  How so?   Maybe i'm naive but is mostly sleeping recreational?

Mostly just to get "drunk" on it.

However, my crack addicts like to use Xanax along with their crack... it reportedly "smooths out" the crash when the crack high wears off.

As much as it may hurt, do NOT let your life be ruined, either literally or emotionally, by associating with dopers...even if they are family.  You can't help them.

I know...

My parents were violent drunks, my sister and her hubby were cokeheads.  He died at an early age and she is 1/2 brain dead.  They lost everything in the '80s...business, house, cars, furniture, everything.  He did time.  Their daughter became a welfare adult.

My nephew is an Oxycontin addict and a thief.  He has RUINED his mother, who enabled him through her inaction.  .  See a pattern?  My folks are long deceased and I have nothing at all to do with the rest of them.

Be very careful.

Brother in law died a year ago due to the extended abuse of these types of drugs. It was a blessing when it finally happened, there was absolutely no "Helping" or any chance that he would ever stop & the collateral damage to the family he caused while abusing was severe. Fucking terrible shit, these pills. So called "Pain Doctors" will burn in fucking hell. A big cash & carry pill doc in Houston just lost a huge case.

Legitimate pain specialists are distinct from the "pill mill" docs.  The latter are an absolute scourge.

I feel your pain.  Agree with many others that they need help, fast.

Why is it we have threads like this when so many think drugs are not a problem?  That there should be no laws about such things?  Drugs destroy lives, fortunes, and families.

She was also the one who wanted Tekka to help her commit a felony by putting an injured Canadian Goose in a big cardboard box and taking it to get help instead of using a dresser drawer like you're supposed to.
