It's been just shy of two years since the passing of my mother. I miss her everyday.

Condolences on your family's loss. I know how you feel, I was holding Mom's hand as she passed after her fight with cancer. You will feel that "dust cloud" for a few days before you start to clear up.

Console yourself with the fact that she is no longer experiencing the pain. And console you father because he's just lost the one person on Earth that he has shared most of his adult life with. He's going to feel absolutely lost and need your family's support to find his way over the next few weeks.

I am sorry for your loss. I am not minimizing it. Your mom outlived mine by 32 years. I was only 19 when she died. That was 40 years ago last month.

While you are grieving, be so very thankful that you had her for as long as you did.

I am truly sorry for your loss. You were very fortunate, however, to know the end was near and was able to be there.

Instead of a phone that doesn't answer and trying to remember what was said in your last conversation and if she knew you really loved her.
Those are the the things that make a man old.

I was holding my Mom's hand when she went as well. I draw comfort from the thought that she was there for my first breath, and I was there for her last.

Sorry for your loss.
Lost my dad almost 3 months ago, it's still a struggle at times. Keep your head up and try and surround yourself with as many friends and loved ones as possible, it really does help.

Sorry man, was there 15 years ago, when she was 55. Memories are cherished....that's what you need to do...no one can take them from you. Will it get better? Yes and No...that is what the memories are for

I got a phone call when my mother passed, I was 3+ hours away but heading to see her.

I was unable to be there when my Mother passed. I found her a few hours later. I wish I could been there but it was not really expected. I did walk in the hospital room when my Father took his last breath.. Saw his chest rise then stop. He was gone. It is great that you were able to be there for your mother. She went knowing she was very loved in this life and went home to a loving father in the next.
