When will I fight? Are you saying that now is the time? I don't think that it's gotten quite that bad. Obviously some of you do.

If someone were tring to harm my family, of course it'd be time to fight. If a rogue govt. was going on a killing/raping spree, then ya sure. Nothing left to lose. If the govt. went down the streets announcing "Hey, the SHTF, get ready"ya.

If they descended upon me right this very second, then no. It's not out of cowardace, I just don't have the luxury of keeping a loaded gun in every room of the house. A couple of weeks ago, this subject was brought up, someone asked when the revolution was going to start. I said at the time that things seemed to be bad in certain areas, California for instance. I said that I didn't see anyone rushing out there to get it on with "the man". It's been a couple of weeks, I've been watching the news. I've seen nothing. For those of you that seem so eager, what will be your breaking point, when will you fight? I know you won't have time to answer this, as your busy packing right now. I understand. If the only person being arrested and having his gun collection seized is me...and no one else, then certainly I am not going to wind up dead in my living room, surrounded by my weapons.

I will cooperate, go peacefully, hire a lawyer to represent me and sit back and watch what happens.

If the authorities are only interested in me for some reason, then it's just the luck of the draw.

If I'm simply the first in a long line of solks that this happens to, then I will take steps to see that there is little likelihood that I wind up in prison.

If the Revolution comes, and you're in jail, it would be a pretty sad situation.

And Revolution it would be, if the authorities came around confiscating weapons wholesale.

Oh, BTW, if they seize the weapons at my home, they will have disarmed me, oh, about 20% or so. They'll have to do a whole lot better in order to get even a fraction of the Hun Armory.

OMFG.  That's all I can say to that statement-  though I know that too many of our fellow shee- er. I mean 'gun owners' feel the same way.  And that's why we'll lose eventually.

It'll be like the drug laws. If you get caught with a weapon in your house they'll confiscate your house, your car, and your bank accounts. Your kids will be encouraged to turn you in by their schools.

They'll develope a quick test for gunpowder residue that'll be used at airports and government buildings to determine probable cause for searches.

After we get used to that, they'll start random 'gun-law' compliance searches.

If the S did ever hit the fan in this sense…. Pls take into account you are now a criminal… this means that every ave of defense is open to you.. select fire, hi-cap.. hell even construction grade explosives will be in large supply..
any one to oppose will be an outlaw and rest assured that the gov. will spend a good chunk of change telling the “people/sheep” that. Winning the hearts and minds of your gun-hating neighbor  will be a key point.. whats the point of arming/locking  your self in  if your next door neighbor gives then a spare key.

At some point, all guns will become contraband, but there will be no organized confiscation. As you are busted for minor infractions, thats when they will get your guns.........one person at a time. There will be minimal media play on this, so most people will have no idea whats going on..........this alone will prevent the gun culture from becoming organized and fighting back enmass.

The option that I see, or would LIKE to see,..........is the massive gun club shoots and armed sporting events that would occur after guns were made illegal.........

This is a more important question to everyone than the "WILL YOU FIGHT WHEN THEY COME TO TAKE YOUR GUNS"

After the "guns are illegal" law is passes.......how many will have the balls to go to the club for a freedom shoot?

I would agree with many of you on this,but much like when the storm troopers came for the few to be relocated!    I'm no spring chicken and can do more damage now with my guns at hand,than down the road trying to subvert or escape the enemy from a bus,train,or what ever the means of transport!

Politicians don't connect to reality.  And they will keep passing spam unless you do something about it.  Perhaps you've read the bit about boiling a frog?  Toss it into boiling water and it will jump out.  But put it in a cool pot and gradually heat it, and you boil it that way.  Much like gun owners and gun laws.

if they were at my door then its a stand up fight...otherwise...its targets of opportunity...after a few dozen congress critters and senators go down, I think we would have some hasty dialog

How would they confiscate them?  (very puzzled look  - forgot to mention rolled eyes).  I seem to recall threads on here along the same lines in which the LEO's bravely swore up and down how they would tell their commanders to stuff their badges.  How then would there be any police to take the guns?  Those very few which remained (so very many swore as above) would obviously be Nazis and logical targets of opportunity (rather than wait).  

After all, how many, especially of the liberal persuasion, criticized the German people for not resisting or "doing something" about the storm troopers and other types.  

And, ETH makes the best point on page one when he asks where the line is to be drawn, "Wait until they take our wives and daughters."

Reminds me of someone who asked why people like my grandfather didn't resist the Russians when they rolled into Hungary.  This person, an otherwise intelligent person from Colorado said how he would take a gun and start shooting.  My mother told him that the guns had to be laid down at the border - the armistice.  He then said, "Well, I'd take a pitchfork and..."  Mom said, "The Russians had already taken that, too."  Of course, it didn't help that 6 Russian soldiers with AK's said they'd shoot the whole family if they didn't vacate the house for them.  That's what it's all about, preponderence of force.
