9 hours. The times I've slept more than 6 hours in the last year (decade?) can be counted on two hands.

1, 1 hour. My wife broke her ankle at the McD's playground. Got home from the hospital and dismissed her awesome sister. Got in bed at 5, at 6 on the dot dad called telling us that mom had passed. Been an awesome day.

I think I might be coming down with something from this newest front. Slept from 3 to 11am - so 8 hrs. But then took a 2hr nap this afternoon. I tend to function naturally with 8hrs, so the need to nap was fairly surprising. That said, I do prefer to at least try once and a while for 10hrs.
Had the most odd dreams last night though. At least there was a hot co-ed in them to make them interesting, abet from the begging my mind was screaming TRAP. By the end she was trying seduce me with fish stew (cooking). She might have even had a Norwegian accent. "You vant some vish stuw". Where the fuck did fish stew come out of my subconscious. |

I have a fucking head cold, can't breathe, sore throat, the works.
Haven't slept more than 15 mins at a time for 3 nights in a row. FML |

My life is a bit stressful right now and I'm paying the price it seems. Man I wish they’d let me start at 0400. We start at 0630 and work 4/10s. I don’t like getting off work at 1700. |

Three most nights. Four if I’m lucky. About once a month I crash and sleep all day.

Dozed off around 930 PM on the couch. Wife woke me up to go to bed right after.
Got up around 430 AM for the second trip to the bathroom of the night and just stayed up. Drinking three cups of coffee before you go to bed isn't the best idea but it just tasted darn good. Yeah, coffee doesn't do a damn thing to keep me awake. |

I rarely sleep the whole night through. Maybe four hours then woke up and fell back to sleep for another three and a half.

Nine to five. 7 days a week. Sleep that is. Don't need alarm clocks. Its actually the only thing I enjoy about getting older. I like my mornings. Alot. Used to sleep till noon and be out till 3 am. Fuck that. Bed at nine. dog gets up for a pee at 2-3 am and then back to bed till 5. Great!!

Last night? 9+ hours.
that's not typical though. Typical is 6-1/2. I've had some sleepless nights this week, so I was exhausted last night. |
|
For about the last two years, I was also having issues staying asleep. I wouldn't have an issue going to sleep around 10pm, but I'd end up waking between 12:30 and 2:00am. Then, I couldn't get back to sleep for two hours or so.
Last July, I started taking 3mg Melatonin, 500mg L-Tryptophan, and 400mg Magnesium Oxide. I almost immediately started sleeping through the night. Occassionally, I'll only get 6 hours of sleep, but now 7.5hrs is the norm. I don't know if I need all three ingredients for my sleep to do better, but I don't plan on changing it for now. The cost per night for the Melatonin, L-Tryptophan, and Magnesium Oxide is $0.03, $0.15, and $0.04 = $0.22/night I may bump the Melatonin up to 5mg and see how that works. |

All of my life, I could lay down and be asleep in 5 minutes, sleep all night. At 50 it has really changed. I lay there, can't sleep. Go out for an hour then wide awake. That happens a couple times. I finally get in a good deep sleep with just a few hours until time to get up. I don't drink any soda or energy drinks ever. One cup of coffee in the morning

Maybe 5 hours
Honestly im tired no matter how long i sleep. I dont give a shit anymore and dont bother even trying to get a restful nights sleep. |

My cpap said 6 hours. But I took forever to fall asleep, then I woke up at 3 for no good reason. Fell back to sleep and my alarm went off at 5 so I could take my kid to swim practice.
Turns out there was no practice this morning. I've been dragging ass all day. |
|
Fwiw, when I hit my 40s, I will just randomly wake up at 0400 for no good reason.
|
|
3hrs, I generally try to go for 5-6 but end up with a few 3-4 nights a week. Anything over 6 hours and my back goes to shit.

I don't think I've slept more than 4 hours since I took my current job two summers ago. Looking to change that and hoping after I can get a decent night's sleep after that.

Not nearly enough. The Lunesta isn't cutting it, either. Listened to Huberman Labs podcast, Dr Andrew Huberman Prof of Neuroscience at Stanford says Magnesium Threonate has been clinically proven to work. I'm ordering some tomorrow.

Get to bed between 11:30 and midnight. Wife wakes me up at 6:45 and takes my cpap off to say goodbye. I then nap till 7:30. Work starts at 8am. Weekends 8 solid hrs unless I have a shoot.

I was asleep for 5 hours and 29 minutes.
I was in bed for 7 hours and 56 minutes. Over the last month my averages are 6 hours and 14 minutes and 8 hours and 19 minutes. Much improved over last year by 12 minutes more asleep and improving. My watch is smart. |

Asleep around 00:30ish, up at 06:00. Friday nights I try and get 9hrs.

About 4-5. Had to set my alarm and get up every 90 minutes or so to rotate trays of jerky meat I had drying.

It’s easily habit-forming, though, so wean off of it quickly. Take a half dose the next night, then be done with it. But it’s great in “emergency” can’t-breathe-to sleep situations. |
