I hadnt been out much lately, but found out the Logans locations around here recently closed down. |

Will this thread be filled with Doomers like Taco Bell threads are filled with the Tender Tummies?

TR is the best chain steakhouse around. Get the porterhouse every damn time and it's great.

The best steak I have ever ate was at a Texas Roadhouse. It was also the only steak I've ever ate at a Texas Roadhouse so it could have been a total fluke.

Quoted: All.Over.The.Fucking.Floor. Seriously, the local one (Indiana), peanut shells fucking everywhere. Also, overrated as fuck. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Because they don't give a fuck and fuck you, don't eat here if you can't handle your anaphylaxis? Srsly, tho, I don't see peanuts at our local TX Roadhouse. All.Over.The.Fucking.Floor. Seriously, the local one (Indiana), peanut shells fucking everywhere. Also, overrated as fuck. The one here has been one of the better chain steakhouses. The peanuts knee deep is a cool unique thing for them. Go eat at your cookie cutter cafeteria if you can’t handle it. |

Peanuts and margaritas are the best part of that place. Their steaks are not too special.

Quoted: The peanuts? All those peanuts, with all the deadly peanut allergies? (imported question from the cheddar cheese isn't egg yolks thread) View Quote This is a secret, but I’ll tell you if you PROMISE NOT to repeat this.......... ITS NOT TEXAS!! |

I can’t bring my daughter in there anymore, we went once when she was 10, we didn’t even make it to the table. Sat down in front waiting to be seated and the peanut dust/residue on the seats made her legs breakout. That’s when we first found out she was allergic to peanuts!

I threw a peanut and hit our waitress in the boob to get her attention. She smiled and laughed. She a good sport was cute. I tipped her very well.
Been a while. The food was pretty good for a chain. |

It’s a fucking steak with bread, a salad and a side for $18. You’re not getting 60 day dry aged Wagyu for that price. The expectations GD has for restaurant meals is ridiculous.

I thought this thread was going to be about Texas Roadhouse having Texas in its name and not serving brisket

It would be better if their rolls were not sweet, and served with regular butter.

You want to see busy, drop by the one at Rapid City SD during Sturgis
Great food in three different states we have eaten in |

Meh, the food is better than McD’s.
The cinnamon butter is nasty. We always have to ask for regular butter. Why anyone would want cinnamon butter over real butter is beyond me. Gross. For the $$$ the steaks are ok. The chicken fried steak is decent. |

I can certainly see the chinavirus getting rid of the big buckets of peanuts. I know you can order a prime rib there significantly bigger than listed on the menu; they just charge like a $1/oz for steaks bigger than the menu lists.
I made the mistake of ordering a 32oz steak there once and it was a challenge eating all of it. Even a mediocre steak is a steak worth eating long as it ain't overcooked. |

Last time we went to the one in Conroe a roach crawled across the table. We left and have never been back. I think he was there for the peanuts.

I like them for what they are. Good, but don't expect a high-end chophouse. Haven't been there in a while.
|

I dont know how they are in business with the food they serve. Same with long John silvers.

Texas Salt Block
They train the employees to season the food like the peanuts, with a solid glaze of salt The last time we ate there everything was so salty we couldn't get 1/2 way through the food. We came home and were guzzling water trying to flush all that salt out. My wife and son refuse to go back, I went a few times for business and it was a solid "Meh" |

People with food allergies are that much less of a person and don't deserve to eat out in public with the rest of normal folk. Your question is moot.
|
|
The one here in NOtVA is still stupid crowded every night. I find the food better and less expensive at Texas Roadhouse than other local steak joints like All American Steakhouse and Longhorn.
But, yeah, it's loud with all the singing and dancing and the loud muzak overhead. It's usually kinda chilly, too. |
