I'm 5'8-9.
My dad was 5'11 or so. My mom is pretty short. My uncles on my mom's side were all tall or taller than my dad but got their final height jump at 20-21. I'm 19, and for a few years of my life I ate very little (poverty level situation that I climbed my way out from under). Any tips or insight? |

Dont worry about your height and age, there are more things in life to pay attention too.
year or two, maybe a few more. I can always take growth hormones.. my own seem to be a little weird. See, my hairline started receding at 18 and it's thinned on top to the point where I'm just gonna trim it down to skin level. Barber thought I might have a thyroid problem from the dryness. Could have been stress induced if not inherited from my mom's side.

Most people I know kept gaining height through their early 20s. I personally noticed my height and shoe size stabilize about age 23. I'd say between age 19 and age 24, I grew about another inch and a quarter in height, and I went up one and a half shoe sizes.
Too bad my weight didn't stabilize at 23. But I'm working on that... Jim |

heh, i'm in the same boat. i'm 5'7 18 yrs old. most people in my family are either normal height or larger than normal, except my grandfather who was about 5'6. i also blame some of it on the fact that i had bad insomnia from the ages of 13-15 and very rarely got a full night's sleep (still don't).

Easy for you to say |
they don't really work the way you think they do... You may grow some boobs or hair |
not that kind you ninny. the sacro-pituitary, when stimulated, does crazy things, like turn dwarfs into giants. |

I'm 6'.
Dad is almost 6'4" and Mom's 5'2". I hit 6' before I entered the Army at 18 and I've been holding my own since then. Now WEIGHT and age..(lol)...is another issue |
23, 6'2" my mom is 5'6" and my dad is 5'11" my grandfather was a touch over 6' though and apparently there were some even taller somewhere in the family
I am 20 years old, and 6 foot 1 inch tall, I have been over 6 feet tall since I was 12. I felt like a giant, I played a lot of basketball, and then everyone caught up with me. My shoe size was only 10 for awhile, but now I wear a 13 and a half.
I keep getting a little taller every year since I turned 18. |

Don't waste your money on height growth pills. Accept your height and go on with life. |
5'9" - I am the shortest one in my family Even my grandma is taller than me
I know the pills are bullshit- I'm short, not stupid. |
is 5' 9" really that short? I guess I dont pey attention to other peoples height or Im taller than I thought???. Im going to measure myself now
I'm 25 and 5'8", my dad was 5'11" my mom is 5'3". A friend of mine's son is 15 and 6'7" and wears like a size 18 or 19 shoe already, his dad is about 6'2"
You'll be OK as long as you have a HUGE internet penis. |
OK I just measured Myself.
I am 5'9" too. What do they put in the water where you live that makes you so much shorter than everyone else? Im Average around here, Except on the skinny side compared to most, as they are fat |
My only above average qualities are my penis, my iris color, my sense of humor and over-the-top personality, skills I have aquired, early maturity, and above average intelligence. Wait, I have broad shoulders, a bit more reach than most, and am an 'easy gainer'. But by god I wouldn't mind a full head of hair and and a higher eyelevel. |

Short people live longer. You accumulate a lot of brain damage over time smacking your head on things. I'm a little over 6'1", so I try to make every day count. |
I'm 5'10" and have been since 15. So I stopped growing early.
Isn't 5'9" right at the average for American males? |
Mom is 5'7". Dad is 5'9". I am 6'5" and my brother is 6'3".
Oddly, the milkman was 6'9". |
I was 5' going into High School.
Within 2 years I was 5' 8" My mom is 5' 9", and my dad was 5' 11" |
6'3" here,
Height comes from the mothers side, not the fathers. |
Im 5'-7" and 20yrs old, so I understand where you're coming from. My Dad's 5'-10" and my Mom's 5'-5". My brother and I are short, were as both my sisters got my dad's height.... talk about life being a bitch. Personally I know that most women prefer a man who is at least 5'-"/9" how ever if you work extra hard you might be able to win them over. Also helps if you are built on the muscular side.... but not too muscular. Make sure you get 3 good meals a day, sleep the recomended 6-8 hours a night and work out at least once a week. That should help, but it all comes down to genetics.

When I went into the Army I was 5'7 and 135 and 17 years old!! But I wore a size 12 boot and a 17&1/2 inch shirt! Stocky was a word I learned to live with(stocky is a XXXsmall)!
Three years of three hots and a cot ,I was 5'11 and 197 of pure muscell!!! At 60 years old I' 5'11(plus or minus)210! Your growth may come with time, till the age of about 26 or so! After that we have reached the biggest girth of shoulders and such and the it's just a downhill slide untill we can't change our grandchildrens diapers much less our own!!! I'm jokeing about the age thing, you are only as old as you let others make you feel!!! Hang around some really old people and you will feel very young, try to hang in with some really young people and you will realize just how old you are!!! You will get as tall as you are going to get by 25 or so,but maybe if you can keep your hair or since of humor you will be well served!!! Bob |
